To be truly honest with you, I'm not using any electronic devices on my kit, except for the famously used "microphone" which converts sound into an electrical signal. I have 8 mics on my drum kit and no triggers whatsoever, as I hate drum triggers. I use a Roland SI-24 for mixing, Logic RPC Pro for recording, Shure Mics, and Audio Technica Mics. That's it. Haha, yeah, the little guy is my neighbor and usually comes by just so he can play my Nintendo Wii.

Your right, pig squeals and death growls are shit. A really good scream is like having a really good voice for singing. And it's even better when you can sing and scream, in my opinion. Honestly, i don't know how to scream. All I know is that it comes from deep inside you, but it also depends on how you get it out, so you don't damage your vocal cords. Listen to Glassjaw's "lovebites and razorlines" "siberian kiss" "hurting and shoving"... intense screaming there. try to emulate that scream.

yeah, actually, the ride pattern is easy because it just copies the guitar part, which is an on and off pattern. This was practice, and we didn't have the song done yet. Bands that I know of that sound like this or more extreme would be Between the buried and me, The Dillinger escape plan, Converge.. bands like that.

we just jam together once or twice a month. We make short songs like the one here, and "nun". It's really 1:20 or so. But we think it keeps the chops fresh and we get to hang out and be stupid. it's really a fun time.

I used adobe preimier 6.5 to export the final product to an uncompressed DV AVI format. And then I used TMPGenc 4.0 Express to convert it over to a codec called "Microsoft MPEG-4 VKI Codec V1" with 128 kbit mp3 stereo audio. I wish it would have uploaded in stereo. the video resolution was still decent...like 480x360. The final video I uploaded to youtube was 97MB and now it looks like crap.. I don't understand. thanks for the comment though. It is a pretty deadly song.
