@tommix83 Thankyou so much! I never had a clue on what type of constraint to use for joints, Do you know what UP stands for, is it just the word up or is it an abbreviation?
è tutta cinematica inversa con dei vincoli per rispettare gli assi di rotazione consentiti da ogni perno. Più un pochino di scripting per le pinze.. I tubi sono IK con dei vincoli elastici.
did you use C.O.F.F.E.E to program the arm? and how do you set up those sliders on the upper left side of the screen to correspond to the arm's motion?
I got a question for the arm parts did you model using splines and rig with Controller IK or Bones IK and with the hand did you set with pose-mixer or is that using a different set up for the rig?
Hi fredb3! I didn't model using splines but simple box modeling. I didn't use any bone, just simple IK's, a few Xpresso and lots of constraints. No pose mixer or else
I vound zis very inner resting.

Is it possible to send me your c4d file?

Wow this is awesome :D Soo detailed.
Check out my arm ist made with joints and "hydraulic"
/watch?v=rqEB8oapTyo
This was made without joint only with Constraint tags?
Have you used ik tags?
And Is it easier with joints or without (becaus i want to make another arm :D)?

couldn't you also set the very tip of the finger as the Goal instead of setting the wrist as the goal and then constraining the fingers?

For each part of the arm, (upper arm and forearm) where do the axis centers have to be??

Hi Tommix, so how were the wires created, hair, soft IK??

Hi, so which constraint type did you use for the joints. Out of PSR, Parent, UP, Aim, Clamp, Spring, and Mirror. Which one did you use?
Que70 1 year ago
@Que70 Hi Que. UP and Aim for the mechanical joints, spring for cables.

Very nice ! You should really make Tutorials!! How you did the Dynamic cables and the gears, pistobs??

were the joints rigged with the joint tool or were they rigged with constraints?
Que70 1 year ago
@Que70 Hi, It's all about constraints. No joints

@tommix83 thankyou, than after that, you apply an IK tag to the base and set the hand as the target I guess

was mocca used in this?

Finally which version of c4d did you use?

Was the expresso for the wires or for the 'fingers'.

Very nice! I recently did a robot arm as well, although it was not as complex as yours.
