  • Games start at 30:05 O_o

  • Come one, i just want to watch the games....

  • 8 ppl wanna pay for their operating systems

  • A new blog is up that helps people get started with Linux. You should check it out at e3gameronline NET It looks very promising imo

  • That was a good show fella's! 2 thumbs up!

  • these two have got to be on drugs...

  • @jupiterbroadcasting

You forgot about OilRush for Linux (Unigine Engine game).

They're currently at version 0.75, just released. And they have an Ubuntu 32 and 64 deb installer now. :D

  • i had a cat called jupiter lol. it was black all over.

  • i love this show. i just discovered it. makes me lol

  • Nice video guys, been showing that games run in Linux for over a year on my channel now lols :)

  • Nice video guys, been showing that games run in Linux for over a year on my channel now lols :)

  • Notice Ubuntu code names are alphabetical, though. They needed an animal starting with O, and that alone really narrows it down. :-P

  • @andy16666 OH wow, I didn't notice that until you stated it! lolz awesome

  • It sounds to me also, as if they are mimicking mac.. !!

  • @kristopheraugust im doing like linus says , going back to LXDE. LXDE can be soo light and fast, but it still has some bugs unfortunantly, but its more usable than a stupid unity. WTF was canonical thinking .... shame im so ashamed of ubuntu right now.

  • No Heroes of Newerth? No Amnesia?

These are serious mainstream games with great native Linux versions... come on guys.

  • Great job guys, but...

    oo-boon-too, not oo-bun-too.

  • Chris, you're right! Brian knows Shuttleworth loves Mac. First Mac icons, then Unity, now Ocelot name.. come on..

  • quakelive savage2 Heroes of newerth steel storm urban terror nexuiz my fav games

  • Yes ! Another LAS, and in my Birthday !

  • Chris, for the love of God, stop rubbing your nose!

  • Good on you canonical for taking a feline name before apple could take it :)

  • Chemtrails. Jesus Christ.

  • and using wine is like admitting defeat

  • sure there are some cool games out there, but the video drivers are so god awful (almost no matter what hardware config you have) that people are better off just playing the same games in windows.

    but i still love linux

  • Given that I understand the fact that it would take me years to code something like Unity, I won't say that someone else's efforts "suck". I will say that as a "power user" that I don't prefer it. I use gnome2 and will until the dominate fork appears.... cheers guys!

  • dude.... Brian OS

  • For the sake of Ubuntu, I hope Unity catches on. I also hope that Unity starts to use less resources and gives the user to ability to move the damn dock to whichever side the user wants it.

  • Get Call of Duty, Starcraft, WoW, & Bioshock natively and we'll talk.

  • @nvanadium Call of Duty, Starcraft, WoW and Bioshock all run natively on Linux via Wine.

  • @RobLoach Now we both know that unfortunately games do not perform as well in wine as they do natively in Windows. It sad that all these years have gone by and Wine is still ehhh.

  • @RobLoach wine is not native

  • @jth005 Apps running on wine are not native, Wine is native.

  • @robvelor duh

  • @jth005 duh read your comment

  • I WANT TO RUN BRIAN OS RIGHT NOW.

  • gnome 3 rocks ! and urban terror is the best game for linux ! peace out !

  • The Ubuntu names are picked to be rare combinations of words. Google for a version number, and you *might* get something related to your release. Google for Oneiric Ocelot (both rare words), and EVERY link for the first 10 pages will be an Ubuntu link.

  • Is anyone else freaked out by the display pick for this vid.

  • Unity and Gnome 3 are disasters. As for Ubuntu's Ocelot, it's still drab looking.

  • Zooming works super fine in linux if you use Compiz's Enhanced plugin and turn off focusing and enable mouse zooming. Then you can zoom the full screen in and out by pressing SUPER and scroll with the mouse. You can even make shortcuts to specific zooms you prefer. If you don't want to scroll in, use super + press down the scroll button. I tell you guys, that's the best (only good) zooming alternative in linux. Please thumbs up if you want more people to know this method.

  • Hands down the BEST episode in a VERY Long time!

  • Always a great watch, guys. You guys have been one of, if not THE, reason why I've shifted from Windows to Linux.

    Its been glorious...

  • @kazzsaru same here... thumbs up from me

  • @kazzsaru Same thing here. My roommate always watched LAS. So I checked it out and linux too. Now I have run arch for over a year. Never going back.

  • ubuntu again??zzzzZZZzzzzz

    lol

  • B-Man OS " Granny Smith "

  • Why do you upload this stuff at 1:15 AM? It's late enough, I have to go to bed! Now I can't!

  • @icovada you live in GMT+1?

  • @SxeD4ve Yeah. +2 now that it's DST.

  • Awesome episode guys! Keep it up!

  • unity just sucks... come on ... it sucks so badly.
