You can't COMPARE karate to MMA. One is a specific style, the other is many different ones(mixed). It wouldnt make sense

@Ronin6575 Well i hate to say it but i have trained in karate in taekwando just to see if it did help anything. sure it helped with balance but nothing more. more trainer who is a 17-3 professional MMA fighter has a black belt in Judo, BJJ, JJJ, Taekwondo, and karate. and even he says a taekwondo/karate guy doesn't stand a chance against a muay thai/boxing guy. not being disrespectful or anything but that is just the truth

Kyokushinkai has been about 50/50 with MT since it's inception.

I Have done Judo for 5 years, and Boxing for a year, and just started Shotokan, but I do contact sparring, and can tell you proper Karate 'stands a chance'.
