You're bang on with the idea of this being perfect for corporate events. We've replaced all our standard cabs and speaker stands with this and it's works great. It sounds amazing and clients always comment on how good it looks. Also we're found that instead of putting four speakers in to fill an average size conference room in a hotel we can put one active sub, an amp unit and three tops a side and it more than fills the space and is set up in less than ten minutes.
Have you guys had the chance to listen to the K-Array redline systems? I'm currently designing a system for a small building that is about 40ft wide by 90ft deep with a 9.5ft high ceiling. I'm looking for a good easy to set up small line array system. I have about $12,000 to work with. I want a true line array in order to get even dispersion front to back of room. If I go HK I'm putting the HK subs through a HP x-over using them as mid-bass and then using 18" subs for deep lows.
