There used to be a lot of horse-butchers in France, but because French people being fewer and fewer and invaders being more and more numerous, it is now difficult to find good horse meat.

I lol'd. The music made this video feel almost adventurous. Anyway, I have no issue with eating any kind of animal, so long as they're treated decently while they're alive. A friend of mine lived in...I think it was Ecuador...where you could go to a restaurant and actually pick a healthy, living cow from a field that you want to eat from. I would prefer that over eating meat from a mystery cow living in filthy conditions, ground up and put into a hamburger.

@marshaincc I live in Japan. I eat tofu all the time. I eat vegetarian food pretty frequently too. I also enjoy meat. (And sure, I'd probably try dog if I could get over my personal fondness for them as pets. Dolphins? Yeah, I'd try that. Baby seals? I've never seen that one on the menu.) I'm cool with you eating what you want. Leave me alone about what I want to try. Lame responses like this make me sad. I tried horse meat, but it's not a habit. And even if it were - it's my call. Sheesh.

Horse and donkey meat is eaten all around the globe, even in America ('cos, you know, Canadians and Latinoamericans ARE americans too) not to talk about Eurasia: Portugal, Italy, Spain, Holland,China... we eat their meat just as you eat rabbits and hares. BTW did you know Japaneses feel terrible about "Americans" eating hare and rabbit, which they see as pets?

Really, I am not for killing someone's pet, but some people keep pigs as pets, and some people eat them. Rabbit, too. And some people would never eat Bambi, I've eaten Bambi and Thumper and it was real good. Venison is super healthy. I heard Horse meat is too. I live in Europe so I am going to France and I will look for some horse. I did try donkey sausage once, but it tasted just like... sausasge. Blood sausage is good, too. Funny video, BTW.

I am bothered by the animal rights activists in Nevada who say there are too many mustangs( not Ford) and they are injecting them with birth control to keep the numbers in check. Well, the food supply for them is diminishing, but the ARA want to save the horses. Nevadans use to shoot them before 1971, but the ARA stopped it. There are a lot of pretty animals: deer, rabbit, cow, etc., but why do we get so attached to their cuteness, and not want to eat them. The ARA are wrecking the world.

I actually really like horse. It tastes similar to beef jerky, to me. Although, a lot of the horse around here is too salty and fatty, it's not as good as the stuff I got in Korea.
