Yes 5:00 pm every week day,1965, channel 3 KARD TV on a black and white 21 inch Hoffman TV set with a fuzzy picture and sound. These cartoons were just for kids. Today these would not even make it on TV, too corn ball. But it was a different time and it did not take much to entertain kids then. The cold war was going full out then so you could expect cold war type plots in everything including cartoons. Was it a better time? No, just a different time. Roger Ramjet, I salute you. BLAMMM!!!

I read once that when this show was rerun for a while, they changed the Proton Energy Pills (or PEP pills) to vitamins because they thought it might encourage kids to take amphetamines. That may have been the case when I watched it around 1970 or thereabouts, but my memories are to fuzzy for me to be sure.
