It seems that when Lucifer took 3/4 of God's Angels to go with him. This song remind me when this female angel just went to the wrong turn and crashes down to Earth with the lightning with the rest of the angels. I guess it seems she trying to find her way back to Heavon.
When I first listened to this song on youtube I couldn't remember where I'd heard it .....but after a few days it came back to me.....My son used to play it everytime I visited him, and he is quiet good at it. He's now recovering from his canabisabuse, and I know this song will always remind me how hard his life has been...........
This song I dedicated to Dodi Lynn Creech. No obiturary in the paper, and she was not given a proper funeral. No memorial service. She died in her car. The press took no notice. It don't matter HOW she died, the fact that she DID live warrents notice on some level.
How can we completely erase her from the face of the Earth without MENTION?
@chazLdy It seems to be so powerful and deep, but people who do not know about real human issues they just criticized. What you tell us is what I understood when I first listened this song without name of course, than you for the information is good to know. Greets from El Salvador
@mikeejay63 Indeed Mikeejay63 is correct. They did finally have a service for her and ran an obit. It took them long enough, about 6 weeks. The tox screens take a while from what I hear. The song still applies to my friend, as does the spirit of my previous posting.
@aegrisomnia07 Its about the start of a new begining at the end of an older one. The wheel of life keeps spinning. so its not that ironic. I feel like making out at the end of this song too ^.^
I don't get why at 4:06 the volumee changes? Like it's from a movie and the girl say something to the boy and they start kissing when the volumee goes higher to the standard...
Hey look, an intelligent song that actually has sentimental meaning and value. Funny how songs that date pre-2000s are miles ahead of current mainstream music. Seriously, how many fucking songs do i need to hear where the "artist" sings about being "in the club" and partying.
@nipplewort Your first problem is associating yourself with "mainstream" music, as everything mainstream nowadays is targeted to girls 13-24, and everyone knows girls have no taste in music. This one girl who I was friends with on FB when I had a FB posted a video "I tried by Bone Thugz" with a caption that said "Throwback!" that song is only 4 years old and she called it a throwback, short attention span much? Girls need new music every 3-6 months, why do think all of their music dies so quick?
@nipplewort Errm. Actually. the 00's started out perfectly fine. It seemed like it would be a good era. For ex. Everlast relased what its like. Modest Mouse released The Moon and Antartica and etc. Once it reached the mid 00's thought, it ended up sucking.
@nipplewort Not neccesarily. There are plenty of good stuff that was released in the 2000's. On the exact year of 2000 Modest Mouse released the Moon and Antartica. Everlast released What it's like. Some good stuff on those. There were plenty of good popular albums and songs out there that were made in the 2000's. You have to look for it though.
i was born in early 90's i didnt know about this song till 2006.i was sleeping and this song woke me up and i started to cry because it sounded so beautiful and the lyrics aswell...wow "i can feel it"
this song always makes me feel happy. i used to listen to it with my dad, then eventually playing it in a jam session with him.. i haven't seen him or my sisters in 4 years and i'm 19 now.. i always cry while singing along to this song.. haha. music holds soooo much meaning.. what happened to the 90's music? now there's just a helluva lot of nonesense people try to label as "music" when it's just sloppy... *sigh* sad to say the world really is changing and it's not changing in a good way.
@parrottDpassJ I hope u can jam with your dad again , no shame in crying when singing this ! , I am learing the guitar so i can jam with my daughter some day ! keep music in your life , your DAD and sisters will return and I will jam with my daughter as well . This song makes me feel like i have been beat up , but not beaten ! in the end it makes me feel stronger and happier , hope u do too !
my dad use to sing this to me when i was young found out today cuz my mom told me. we all no longer live with each other i'm in fostercare and they split. i was about 1. i still always hmm this never thought was a song.
The most moving song I have ever heard and still so to this day. This was the song that I had play during my IVF cycle and egg retrieval. Saddly it forshadowed what was to come for me. The words of the song somewhat paralell what happened to my beautiful pre-term and only son. I miss him with all my heart!
@CrashBandikoot7 All I could find is that it's by Scottish artist Peter Howson, "Sisters of Mercy". Painted in 1989. Apparently at that time he focused on working class men. The women look like prostitutes.
This reminds me of how my Brother and i would play in the cornfields back when I was little. The Navy Blue sky with the beautiful clouds. The Smell of fresh cut grass. My father would play his acoustic guitar while sitting on the couch, sometimes we'd be messing with the antennas on the tv enable to get a channel. We lived in the middle of no where, bored as hell. And you know, I swear to god I wish I could do it again.
My dads favorite story to tell me is that on the way to the hospital of my birth this song came on the radio. I was born with pale-blue eyes. They did darken a bit over time though.
Last night, this song came on Music Choice while a thunderstorm came rolling through my area. Almost as soon as the lead singer said "Lightning crashes" at one point in the song, the first bolt of lightning struck. I was singing along to the song, stopped for a moment, and reflected on what had just happened. "Right on cue", I said.
