I met someone who was doing stuff like this, slipped right before jumping into the pool, broke her neck and is paralyzed for life. She had just graduated from high school and that summer before college she had the accident. Now she's in her mid 30s, no boyfriends, no husband, no kids...she went from being a cheerleader and the most popular girl in school to living a secluded life. It was so tragic, and so unnecessary. It's crazy how your life can completely change courses in an instant.
