  • love it. one thing though, you said the rain water in the tanks will be supplying your house, does that mean your gonna be using that water for showers and sink water?

  • What is that damn clicking noise?

  • @dbierman2001 What do you expect...it was recorded with a Shake Weight! Brilliant set up, lock down those lids so a small child dosnt fall in tho.

  • @dbierman2001 I think it's the camera's autofocus..

  • Someone forgot to water pack didnt they?

  • brilliant : )

  • Less the manpower and bulldozer what was the cost?

  • Bisphenol A (BPA) in all that plastic

  • hope your system's working out all right. my guess is you have a plumber in the family. that's more pipe work than most people would find sensible. also storing the water on the down hill side is just creating extra height for your pump to deal with. In other words I think you could have done this system for half the cost and half the running cost, but as I said I hope it's working for you.

  • basic rain barrel parts kit can be found @ RainBarrelParts . com

  • PVC made prior to the 80's had issues with chems leeching out into the water but not the new stuff.

  • @justdfactsmaam Bisphenol A (BPA) is the new prolblem or newly discovered,, but hell its in all our pop bottles and water bottles and anything in plastic

  • If you drain all the water out of the tanks and the ground gets saturated with water they will pop out the ground like a cork. I use to work for an oil company and put in many 8,000 to 16,000 gallon tanks. We had a service station that we serviced and during the oil imbargo of 1973 we could not supply him with product and we told him to fill his tanks with water or they would come up. He did not believe us and the 8,000 gallon tanks came out of the ground with 6 inches of pavement on top.

  • First, you plumbed the system in with PVC which should have been outlawed years ago because it leaves something in the water that can't, I repeat can't be filtered out ! Second, it looked like regular gutters and down-spouts. Ridiculous!

  • Bet that cost a pretty penny...
