@UlimateCakeEater I'm just seeing the beauty in her, not saying she's "better" than Amanda. An interview is not about the interviewer---of course she'll seem not as smart. She's paid to make her subjects look awesome! I've been an interviewer and it takes a lot of skill to put the spotlight on someone else. Amanda is awesome in her own right, of course, but I suppose I was just taken by that lady. :)
@hmtdih2dt TRUE! and if she ever stayed in a fancy hotel.. well she's married to Neil Gaiman so thats where it comes from, and it doesn't comprimise her talent as an artist.
This is why it's so disheartening to see people who are only making music for the fame and attention. Amanda Palmer is so talented and genuine that I couldn't think of anyone more deserving to be called an artist. Her idea of what the music "industry" could (and should) be with people making music because they love it and not really needing the fame but loving their fans anyway as people and not as fans is so ideal and I hope that at least to some degree that that's what it becomes.
Palmer performed a skit at several concerts where a Katy Perry look-alike would come onstage and begin singing her controversial song, "I Kissed A Girl",
@SheilaBeela87 Shaving armpits is not normal, actually. American propaganda has just shined that idea down on you. In reality it's not all that nasty. Grow up.
@MsEhhhhhh Shaving your eyebrows also isn't normal, though.
She is incredibly talented, but this rebellion against corporate media leads a lot of the attention away from her actual music and to whether or not she shaves.
@iLullabiestoparalyze She's not rebelling at all. She just doesn't like the way the world is set up nowadays, so she chooses to do things her own way in a passive manner. There is a difference between rebelling and blinding yourself from what others think. Also she cannot choose who disagrees or agrees with her naturalism, as there will always be ignorant critics.

"Young musicians ask me what to do I tell them glom off somebody who's already famous and take your clothes off a lot." What a dispicable, fame hungry tramp.
Whoah. At last, a non-narcissistic, non-egotistical performer who actually cares about her fans. I love how much she interacts with her fans. It's a really pleasant change.
No she is not known for being the dresden dolls, she known for being a PART of the dresden dolls.....

Lol why does everyone insist on making a big fuss about her not shaving??? Big deal, she's gorgeous, body hair or no body hair!

@thetallulahbunny you knew that the female body in it natural form is so awful to people! LOL

I really love her! I swear, I think she could do this interview without someone there asking questions XD She can really take control of it.
Also, I don't see anything wrong with the armpit hair. She is confident and unbothered by it, why should we care whether she shaves or not?

I love her songs and her armpit hair.

Neil isn't really a sci-fi writer lol
Enchantedivy 1 year ago
@Enchantedivy Not actual speculative science-fiction, perhaps, but most people would consider his stuff kind of sci-fi.
PrawnSticks 1 year ago
@Enchantedivy He kinda is... Sci-Fi and Fantasy are very similar, and he certainly writes a lot of fantasy.
