At first, I thought the Tea Party might turn into a viable third option. I went to a Tea Party Rally in Akron Ohio and was impressed. People there seemed to be a reasonable cross section of America. The topics were mainly about the government's out of control, they've grown too big for their britches, and we need to get back to Constitutional basics for the federal government.
I wish I could have been there to see what signs the other people were carrying. It may be just a couple nuts.

There are some vids by TYT I like. This isn't one of them. Don't get me wrong; there arepeople in the Tea Party movement that need to have their necks rung. But there are some common sense people within the movement who are concerned with the encroachments of our government, and these issues must be addressed. At first, I thought the Tea Party might turn into a viable third option. I went to a Tea Party Rally in Akron Ohio and was impressed. People there seemed to be a reasonable cross section of America. The topics were mainly about the government's out of control, they've grown too big for their britches, and we need to get back to Constitutional basics for the federal government.
I wish I could have been there to see what signs the other people were carrying. It may be just a couple nuts.

There are some vids by TYT I like. This isn't one of them. Don't get me wrong; there arepeople in the Tea Party movement that need to have their necks rung. But there are some common sense people within the movement who are concerned with the encroachments of our government, and these issues must be addressed. All these social programs seem nice, but the money's gotta come from somewhere. We can already see how socialism is destroying Canada and Europe!

The fact of the matter is most people don't get into politics at all and if they do every once in a while they are so irritated and uninformed that they can be misslead easily (e.g. tea baggers in the US or various rigtht movements in europe). The few people that inform themselves about politics on a regular basis get frustrated and try to compensate this by getting into the subject extensively. And as a reward they have to take comments like yours.

@nassah23 According to Webster racism is defined as :"a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities" So, not being racist would be the belief that race does not seperate eachother and our capabilities. So having a month dedicated to a certain race, or me having to check what race I am to apply to college or take SAT or apply for different scholarships would be racist. Disagreeing with a president, who just happens to be a certain color is far from racism.

And left out the other line because I only have so many words I can type. Africans were not enslaved because they were black, but because of imperialistic views shared around the world.
