Well done I record any way when it was legal are not they do work for us the people after all it also is helpful if they need help in the case too I am for everyone recording so ever one do good taping
I just don't see what the peace officers did wrong. They were merely doing their job as far as enforcing existing traffic laws. Lesson learned...park properly!
Simon Glik v. City of Boston establish that police officers are violating Americans’ First Amendment rights when they prevent, prohibit, or confiscate cameras of vigilant citizens recording the police actions.
this has been going on in rochester since the 80s and the cops here are corrupt so im glad their exposed nationally because blacks are continually harrassed for no reason.the cops act like a gang out of control and it took a white woman getting arrested to get national attention although blacks have been complaining for years.
Good job Emily. If you didn't have it on video I would have difficulty believing a law enforcement officer could be so ignorant of the law. But worse, he is too much of a wimp to be an effective officer. How could he be an effective officer if he's scared of a petite, polite woman standing barefoot in her yard wearing pajamas!
If I was the chief of police I would have no rational choice but to fire him immediately. There is no way the city is getting their money's worth with such a fraidy cat.
Thank god for people like this that stand up to abusive people in power. WE THE PEOPLE have the power to put OUR PUBLIC SERVANTS in their place,, if we stick together and stand up for our rights. Most police are good people and know they are here to "protect and serve" not themselves but the public in general, it is our duty to remind the bad ones who they work for.
Ms. Good is not a very smart person. When a police officer gives you an order, you're supposed to obey it. You're not supposed to smart off to the officer, especially when the officer is in the middle of a potentially dangerous situation.
This woman was very fortunate this was right;y exposed to the public & that the this particular judge wasn't bought like so many if not most are..America is quickly becoming a fascist society on purpose where thousands of increasing cases such as this are thrown under the rug & never investigated..In my town alone I either hear or know of rapes ,robberies & even murders via the same ones hired to protect & serve,,Meaning they can be more dangerous than street thugs or gangs when they desire..
cops need consequences for their actions, im not talking about a fucking 2 day suspension, im talking about giving these bitches some fucking lead every time they decide their above the law!
Talk about legal victimisation - ensuring people are parked no more than 12 inches from the curb? Half an inch off? In such hard economic times the US is facing they actually have time to racially profile people, arrest people for standing on their lawn and measure if someone is an inch over the limit for parking near the curve?Somewhere I think the wrong people are losing their jobs.
She has to sue the police department. In a way is not fair to hold the entire department responsible for the actions of one officer. What is disturbing is they are still standing by the actions of that one cop rather then to admit they were wrong! The police are not above the law. They have to abide by it just like everyone else does. Some seam to think just because they are cops they can do whatever they want to. Thanks to video cameras being everywhere, they can't get away with that now.
If cop doesn’t fell safe in performing their job, then they should seek other employment.

@Racquetballplayer76
So if the policeman orders you to turn off your camera and delete the video you would obey him like a sheep?
