@unhban No Way! im studying to get into television production! I used to see re-runs of its a knockout all the time! an awesome show and really well filmed, any advice on how to get into jobs like that? x
@Jessthegurl1192 Hi! The only way now is to go through Film School and while doing that get work experience weeks and get known. If you show you have aptitude you will get noticed. And whatever you're asked to do always say Yes, don't even hestitate in answering as problems can always be solved in television. Best of luck!
Hey Paul have yo ever though of releasing a tutorial DVD. The reason I say this is that online video is not always in sync with the sound and this makes it hard to follow accurately if you did the same on DVD, this would eliminate the problem.
then I could learn all your tunes and impress my piano teacher....
@computersolutions164 Just spotted your comment. I think if the video has been through too many format conversions then the audio drifts. I think mine are all ok here on YouTube because iMovie does some conversion before uploading. I can also convert to flv and make that available. Resorting to physical media seems a bit drastic :)
Bless the old soak Eddie Waring, alaas gone to the great big inflatable in the sky. I believe Stuart Hall is still with us though and still working too - saw him recently on ad advert somewhere
Paul - I just tried this (It's a Knockout) took me 10 seconds to work out the melody, just need the bass now mate- You are definitely the donkey's dangly bits. This ia ctually quite easy (right hand only) It only has a Bb so I think the key is therefore in "F" - Am I right ?
Interesting. I was playing along on guitar and it's in D, then I saw your comment and looked and sure enough he's playing in C, so the keyboard must have a transposing feature.
I'm only old enough to remember when they revived It's A Knockout in 1999 on Channel 5. I'll never forget it either. The pengiun outfits, the spinning roundabout etc. That's why I loved being a 90s kid! :)
Thank you 88GTi - there's so much more music made these days and it is all well preserved; but the early stuff, anything older than about 30 years, needs carefully preserving.
Paul.Sorry for the delay,is what ive always been dying to see.The "Jeu sans frontiers"european version is excellant also.I stated in another post about "Floodlight Rugby League"because that intro is a classic.
Loved this! They need to bring it back AND how it was no new super techy stuff

Used to love eddie waring and his "up and unders" and the uncontrolled laughter of Stewart Hall still brilliantly reporting on football.

Brings back memories! Used to work on this show as one of the cameramen - I remember the Royal one well, as many do!

@unhban Hey - thanks for commenting. I imagine it would be fun filming that show compared to, say, Newsnight.

Bean Bag...Nice Cover!!!
Loved It's a Knockout when I was a kid!! :)
I'm lucky enough to have the Herb Alpert & Tijuana Brass SRO vinyl LP which 'hants68' so rightly says Bean Bag is featured.
The album is mono but still quite good quality!
I don't know how available the original of this tune is? So if anybody wants an mp3 version of my old record just send me a personal message on here.
Paul...You are the dogs watsits!!!!
SUBSCRIBED!!!!!!! :)
