I love the default response to the Stan discussion always leads to questioning his success as a BB'er. We're not trying to quantify that...the question is who's stronger, and that is Stan until proven otherwise. It's really that simple...
@sixthfloorfreak basically what I am saying is when he starting being promoted as worlds strongest bodybuilder Stan wasnt a pro or on the radar of being pro. And I am saying that the fact that JOJ has won 2 pro shows and came off a really good bounce back year means something since he doesnt trian PL this time with Josh he said is the only time he did this type of training with chains and other methods where as Stan trains with the best PL team and trains for that as much as BB. and the numbers
@KHLB516 the numbers besides the bench are not that far off...JOJ is a really weak bench but he has a +800lb squat at 220 bodyweight in a single ply suit at 242 he DL over 800...JOJ 832 last month is higher than any Stan DL ever and JOJ just wont squat like that no more cus its too risky to his BB career and not effective in building and improving his weakness which is legs...I think if JOJ got his bench training with Josh like this with chains and all for the first time I think it could be
@KHLB516 a close Push Pull Raw liftoff..... I believe JOJ could turn that 832 to 850 with Josh no problem in another 8-10 week training period and could get his bench to 550-575 range so could potentially beat Stan by 20+ pounds on DL but lose by 30-60 on Bench but would also come in at a bodyweight of about 25lbs less....I think JOJ only wieghed 250 last month when he DL 832 Raw!
Still spoutin' that "world's strongest bodybuilder" crap, huh? Stan has shown his total, all we've seen from you is a couple heavy deads, and your run for "the world's strongest shrugger."
@therawiron Stan is stronger but JOJ won 2 shows and this last year he had a good bounce back BB year and he wont be heavy raw squating to much risk of injury...at 242lbs probaly like 8-10 years ago JOJ did have close to 2200 total the squat was in a single ply and over 800 the DL was raw and over 820 the difference and big difference between the 2 is in the bench as JOJ is not a very good bencher he cant even do 600 with a bench shirt, at olympia with that basic singly ply shirt couldnt get 550
If you have a problem with locking out the weight, it's often because of what happens in the start of the lift. Johnnie starts the lift very much with his back, leaning forward. This makes the lockout biomechacs more difficult and also tires out the lower back before finishing. Starting a little more with the feet/glutes and leaning back more can often make the lift FASTER and easier to lock out, small change can make a big difference!
@cbipoki JOJsaid he competing this PL meet at 242, and if you go back to week 1 workout he looked ripped and not too big he looks like he put on a good 15-25 pounds idk if he is oging to be able to compete at 242 do you? it looks like he has got to be walking around at like 260 minimum here
@agu003 ROnnie overall without a doubt but Ronnies squat and dl are not much higher than Jonnie and DL isnt even close ROnnie DL 800 with wrist wraps big diff JOJ has ROnnie in DL by about 40+ pounds and same squat as JOJ squated over 800 at 220 about 8 years ago...Stan destroys JOJ in bench by 75-100 pounds but the DL JOJ will pull more at this meet than Stan and at 30pounds less bodyweight and Stans raw squat over 8 at 275 JOJ in singly ply at 220 bodyweight squated over 8 so idk about so much
Another awesome video - unlucky with the 835lbs but after seeing last week's back deload with Branch I can see why you missed it. That was the craziest intense deload session I have ever seen.
835 was close big respect for your achievements dont worry the competition will be a lot better than this training I know it from experience. I wish you to perform well at raw unity I wil keep watching. :)
He has just weak glutes due to his lack of flexibility in the hips. Stretch those hip flexors and teach him to activate his glutes accurately and his lockout strenght will soon head up with his starting strenght.
@psvc22 His form's not that bad, you don't want to drop your hips too much and turn it into a squat. I will say, he's really lacking the lockout strength.
@psvc22 Saw your videos, super impressive! But still, slightly arrogant to think you can offer an olypian advice, hence the reason I found it funny in my first comment.
@coldheartless1990 No your right. Johnny is a beast. I would just like to see him drop his hips just a little more so he doesn't fuck up his back and not be able to compete later. Him and kroc are awesome. And I definitely cannot deadlift 800, I am only 181, but never the less, Johnny is awesome.

@psvc22 Well you obviously know a lot then, but maybe not enough to offer this guy advice on form - Unless you also deadlift over 800lb?
I looked for a new car recently, why does that matter? MG TF 1.8, very nice car I think. Decent reviews too lol.
