Finally beat this. Musta been hella annoying to beat on the NES having to repeat whole stages all over again to see what strategy works. must have sucked...good game though. I finally managed to beat the last level without 'rewinding' the game.

Mega Man 1 was full of difficult and easy challenges. The earlier parts before Dr. Wily were pretty easy, with some very annoying enemies or puzzles. The Dr. Wily bosses made me frustrated but with some help I got through them. It's radical that this game is so much different than the later ones.

Love this ending. It's great they used the same musicians in MM2. I actually played MM2 first then MM1, then noticed the similar song. Very good song to play with this.

@bubby912 The voices were TERRIBLE! I've never seen such bad voices except in X4. The weapons are mostly meh at best, but some are just plain lame. The bosses weren't very difficult either.

@bubby912 If you were a real megaman fan you'd understand that challenge is fun, not pushing through the levels without effort. And the voices are hailed as some of the most terrible video game voices of all time. 8 was one of the worst in the series, beaten imo only by Megaman and Bass.

@bubby912 I've played the game. It was by far the worst Megaman in the original 8. Everyone EXCEPT you agrees that the voices are bad, you're either bad at trolling or half deaf. The game's only genuine difficulty was the jump slide parts. Every game in the series outdoes 8 in almost all categories.

I usually put 8 low on the ranks of the games, but I think the main reason I can't really hate it is because it was the first one I played (Back when I was younger.) Then the disc was broken, and eventually I got 2 on VC. (Followed by 9, then Anniversary collection, then 10.) So I guess what's best or worst really depends on personal taste. To each his own, if you will.
