Dustin Hoffman, 2 time Academy Award winner, star of the 1979 film Kramer vs. Kramer (which earned him 1 of his 2 oscars). Meryl starred as his ex wife in the film which got her the first of her 2 oscars (her second was for Sophie's Choice in 1982).

@JesiLiz08 i think the best word for who he is, is the asshole who slapped meryl off screen b4 this scene he was such a dick for doing that. i really thought they had a huge chemistry in the film and was secretly hoping there was another film where they were together but after i've heard about that incident i didn't really like him...
