you can look at any youtube video that gets thousands of hits, there will be a lag no matter the content. and it's not that the servers are inefficient, they are programmed to update the counters every given amount of time.

however, that's not to say youtube isn't censoring these videos; i wouldn't put it passed them to do so. i do know it is extremely rare that videos like this show up randomly on the front page..

I do believe in lag time. It takes a bit of time for the servers to process and update the information. Tasks are prioritized and such. However, when view counts are consistantly only a fraction of the subscribers to a channel even after a prolonged period, one is not without reason for suspecting tampering.

true, but we must take into account how often this channel uploads videos, and how many of the 41,000+ subscribers actually keep up and watch every-single-video that passes through their sub box. it's likely to be a very small fraction, especially due to the fact that most just subscribe to show their support, and listen to the show by other means.

however, if this channel uploaded a dozen videos a month rather than a day, certainly each video would get at least a quarter-million hits..
