  • the funny thing is, thats my dad...

  • My spanish teacher is this guys husband. O.O

  • @sammothe3 shes my mom ha

  • was tv really that bad in 2000?

  • if i hada quarter for everypixel in this video... i would have a nickel

  • damn, wtf, what's up with the baggy shorts and jerseys?? so glad the 90s/00s are over.

  • recorded on a calculater

  • So he DID score with a bicycle as I always wanted to see it since his fail at the world cup!

  • ha.. i always get to see him..cause my team always plays his team...he wanted to recruit me and my friend.

  • He is a great influence. Not very many people probably know this, but 10 minutes before he made the goal, he got a concussion, and almost got taken out of the game. tThe sad thing is, he doesn't remember any of it. The only way he knows he even made that goal, is because he was told about it later. He went for what he wated, and look where he is now. I'm sure considering he has nearly 130 caps, and was on the worlds team, I'm going to bet he knows WAY more than you do.

  • P.S. he signed my shirt :)

  • i met marcelo balboa in person in colombia

  • sweet and awesome goal! and iam a tall target player for plays stricker for his team and he likes to move and pass the ball forward then score not kick it over the defenders to small kids?

  • crazy that he says he doesn't even remember scoring the goal... apparently he got a bang on the head earlier in the match which resulted in concussion. He said he gave pyshio a right rollickin so they left him on

  • Awesome he's the best coach too I play on his team and we just won a tournament in New Mexico

  • @N1CisSIC whats your team?

  • @N1CisSIC Bitter much? Sound like a sore loser to me.

  • @revolutionfan LOL we haven't lost to them yet.

  • @revolutionfan LOL we haven't lost to them yet.

  • @N1CisSIC . YOUR JUST SAD BECAUSE YOUR TEAM KEEPS LOSING TO MARCELLO'S TEAM. I have played their team and hes a great coach. He runs soccer camps for kids of all ages and hes amazing and his team is great. P.S. in highschool, his kids might not be the fastest, but they will be very skilled.

  • @cssoccer8 We never lost listen to what I said moron. his highschool teams maybe good but the teams we played never had any skill. It was a kick it and run type of team.

  • @N1CisSIC sure it was

  • @N1CisSIC your a jerk to say that about him

  • @soccergirl57ful you don't know him in real life.

  • @N1CisSIC oh trust me, I live in the same town he lives and I know his son. My soccer coach has coached with him and I have played soccer for 7 years.

  • @N1CisSIC your wrong hes a great coach. I just had him as my coach in ODP this weekend in HI

  • @revolutionfan

Coming from someone who plays in the UK, I'm telling you that's how basic football is played. Need a top side to play a different way. I'm gonna say a man with professional experience knows more than you.

  • @N1CisSIC He is an amazing coach. He has come to m y school to talk before, and I can't say enough good things about him. Some people may get agressive in the game, but he's a really nice guy in person. Just because he was a jerk the times you played him in soccer, doesn't mean you need to judge him. And by the way, THAT IS THE POINT OF DEFENSE. DEFENSE DOESN'T KICK THE GOALS. It's not his job to get it in the net. Don't get mad at me for simply telling you the truth.

  • @N1CisSIC he is my coach and my team is one of the best teams in the state!

  • @catodistrict2 did you play in bcf? now in trebol?

  • @catodistrict2 thats me

  • @N1CisSIC he is a great person and has done a lot for American soccer. If you can't get along with him then you're probably the jerk.

  • @N1CisSIC

Kids don't play very refined passing games. His strategy sounds decent to me.

  • whats very amazing is that his dad is coaching me he is the head coach for my soccer club and gid dam is it crazy but marcelo isone of the greatest players ever to live

  • balboa was the biggest bad ass in rapids history. when the rapids had him you could always expect great things.

I also hate how people bash the mls, for a league that is just 15 years old it has a great history, and i think it is just a matter of time intell the MLS could compete with the BPL.

  • @goal2127 Errr, nobody in their right mind wants to go and play in the MLS, only players who are past their prime or Americans, all the world-class players go to the PL, the Bundesliga, La Liga or Serie A.

  • Its sad that it looks like only 18 people where in attendance. lol

  • Marcelo went to my soccer practice yesterday. Hes still got it. Also Coach Bora Milutinovic went to my practice. They are good friends of my coach.

  • this is why when MLS began, marcelo balboa was one of the faces of the league. he, along with the likes of carlos valderrama, marco etcheverry, jaime moreno, brian mcbride, cobi jones, tony meola, zach thornton, jason kreis, roy lassiter, carlos ruiz, taylor twellman and landon donovan will be remembered as some of the building blocks to the MLS. i,ve watched it since it's infancy in 1996 and while i,m dissapointed miami and tampa bay lost there teams, i,m so happy the league is expanding and growing.

  • VALDERRAMA is the best player ever to play in the MLS btw legend

  • @lfctwentytwo Agree 100%!!

  • So true. I was a Tampa Bay Mutiny fan from 96' onward, but when they dropped I became a Colorado Rapids fan, and now that my home town finally has the Seattle Sounders FC, I can actually make the trip to games :D

  • @therealdeal858 you forgot david beckham

  • He did a legendary bicycle kick well it nearly scored in USA 1994 against hot favourites Colombia. What a scorcher. If you haven't seen it it looks really good, until you realise it didn't get in but still worth watching for the photo moment, of the States being set alight by their team's great performance at the World Cup.

  • i knew him for a long time and he's such a great guy. we were so sad to see him retire after such an amazing career

  • if u see him say hello from me men tell him samy iwas with him in sueno mls 2009 final his really good guy ihave big respect for him ilearn alot balboa the best guy

  • Goal of the decade.

  • I actually played indoor soccer with him a few months ago. He's a really nice guy.

  • what does he say exactly?

  • great

  • wow he is a defender

  • very nice !

  • I've met him in person. He came to my school just recently

  • Marcelo Balboa is rare in the respect that he is one of the few Americans that are respected in Soccer. Certainly there are great American players and aficianados but Marcelo has the right spirit for the game... Also that goal is f&*in AMAZING!!!

  • Well, he's just gotta do a bycicle kick because hes gotta look good and hes gotta showw of skills.

  • Obviously you don't play soccer, you do whats necessary not to "show off"'

  • Now that's real shock & awe

  • wow very nice

  • i see this guy commentry in the world cup
