The most of the comments are nonsense, it´s like Soniesonic write.
I´m also a hooklift driver.
The truck is a long chassis Volvo, I drive the same type and before you lift up a truck like the one you see here (additional cabin with sleeper and hightop) as high as shown in the video the container must be VERY heavy and the driver can be sure that his truck after is overloaded.
In this situation you can do NOTHING against a "wheelie" - it´s normal!
I've seen this in an under ground loading dock where a container truck hooked onto a bin full of cut-out concrete and smashed the cab against the ceiling and knocked out the sprinkler pipes!! What an expensive mess!!
when i load a bin i want to see if the back door is secure first so hook trucks are better because what if some punk kids open the back door and you just hook on and start loading, wouldnt you look like an ass if you started loading and dumping your load on the ground i bet you would look like a real pro then eh...
This is a common sight with hook lifts. It's hard to judge the distance to the container from inside the cab, so the driver either has to GO OUT and CHECK or he can just extend the hook a bit and this happens.
OMG it's normol. have u boys never driven trucks in NORWAY

Thats actually fairly normal for those dumpster trucks to do this. Cause the dumpster + stuff in it, weighs about as much, or more than the truck.
LegionREd 1 year ago 4
@LegionREd Spot on answer... it's all about the 'balance' to be able to lift it.

Loads are never too heavy;
it's the truck that is too small.

Because of a wire cart, can decide how high the frame to go up that way in order to release the truck becomes airborne...
And the way you do not burden your gear so hard

I'm not even sure it was too heavy. Think of how far behind the axles the point of gravity is.
Did it also lift the wheels at the point where container left the ground?
