It's definitely loud enough to hear over drums. The XL is 100 watts. I have the 60 watt version, and it gets plenty loud.

i dont think they do a bad job,i'll admit the flextone is by far better than the spider was the best selling amp for so long. and the spider 4 is incredible. . . . . i own a flextone though so haha

I bought a Spider III Bogner 212 and threw Ruby Reds in it. Very flexible and warm. On a budget, I'm not complaining. I get very close to the Bassman tone all the way up to smooth o/d tones. I'm not saying there's nothing like the real thing, but the Bogner versions are good amps.

Hi did you put the 3rd P90 in yourself? I emailed Godin and they said they never had a 3 P90 LG and the Triumph uses different singlecoils. I really dig that guitar.

flextone iii all the way. the spiders dont sound good. you'll spend around the same money getting a used flextone iii compared to a new spider, but you'll get a better amp and most importantly better tone.

tone comes from the fingers and heart, this guy proves this, you sound amazing!!! i think we as guitarists get caught up in tone, cable quality, solid state vs valves. listen to robert johnsons reocrdings from way back, good music is good music, you wont hear people complaining about his tone

THIS IS THE BEST AMP TO USE AT HOME!

the tones ar so warm and beutiful, there is really no point to buy a real tube amp if you just going to use it at home, cus you need to crank them up to get that sound, and what are your neighbours going to say if you do that?, they probalby call the police:) this amp sound so nice even at low volume

I sold my Valvetronix AD100VT for a Flextone III XL. I had the VOX for 2 months. Hated it. It hissed even with the noise reduction on it. The volume would fade in and out and the effects would jump as if the knob was slipping.

I've heard the VOX is awesome for metal though, but for me, I'm after rich warm tones and the Flextone gives me that over the VOX. The effects onboard are fully editable too and the midi outputs are handy for editing the effects on your computer. Depends on your style.

Makes me want to rip out the front pick ups that came in my LG and throw some P90's in. Line 6 Usually isn't known for it's blues tones, but your set up, combined with your smooth playing, sounds pretty sweet.
