The part about stimulating blood flow is true. Even small amounts of alcohol cause your heart to beat faster and your blood pressure to rise. Which means better blood flow in some parts. It expands blood vessels in your skin but constrict those in the muscles - that's why you appear more flushed. So, yeah...

Alcohol is poison. Your body knows it and treats it as such. It has many bad side effects. Find something else to impress your friends with or solve your problems. Alcohol isn't the answer.
