I was a huge fan of Elvis and Roy both. Elvis use to always say that Roy had the best pipes around. His voice had more range than Elvis, he wrote a lot of his own material and certainly was a better musician (guitar player) than Elvis. But he didn't have the stage presence or looks of Elvis.
