It was alright. Could've def been faster, and you don't need to send all 6 after 1 worker. 1 or 2 will take em out while the rest work on the main building. And if all you had was lings, he could've tried to lift off and find a new spot, but it'd have been a rough comeback. But seeing it was a comp player, its different.

You should rush guardians in under 22 minutes. There should've already been about 20-40 hydras and 100+ lings by the end. Zerglings are only good for a quick bruising to another human opponent. But by then they'll rush too with their zerglings, marines, or zealots by the time you finish your batch.

@fabian696969 This early in the game micro can't help you much. Also, taking out all the SCVs isn't particularly important if the enemy already has a barracks or gateway. You'll want to destroy that before the SCVs so they won't be able to attack.

years since i played this last time but a couple tips:
Assign a group to your training building, this way you can easily recruit new units while exploring. Just 3 keystrokes.
While moving around is better to attack ground, pressing "a" before any move command. this way big groyups will optimise damage, by atacking closer to them.
i'll admit that this strategy does suck, but at 3:30 with about 8+ population and 200+ minerals, he should have created more zerglings and used them to to finish his opponent of

i was talking about how an older game manages to uphold its value in the gaming community while newer ones simply get forgotten in a short period of time
and not about ones personal specification in games
...
anyway if you view starcraft that way then you can also view CSS where the person who clicks on the other person faster wins amirite?^^
also i started playing heroes of might and magic 3 again and thats my ultimate classic game:D

@Zacsi then I misunderstood you. Yeah its great the style of the game hasnt been forgotten, though it cant really be enjoyed by a novice player. Its going to be ripe pickings for veterans when starcraft 2 comes out online. In regards to CSS, not necessarily the strategy game is it? ;)

Starcraft is a little different, it requires the most skill out of any game i can think of, and not just anyone can pick it up. SC has over i believe 10 years of constant fan base. It has sold 9.5 Million globally, and 4 million in korea alone. WOW has like what, 4-5 million online users? Oh, btw, most people dont buy starcraft, the full game is up for download with a massive free server.

@zainaku Starcraft is just one on any number of dune clones, warcraft was made to be kind of like warhammer and starcraft... well that was a rip off of games workshops other game, 40k. It's quite well balanced, it's a good RTS.
It's sold 11 million copies, WoW has 11.5 million active subscribers, Wii Sports 60.69 million sold.
Subjectively you may much prefer Starcraft as a game, objectively Wii sports is a much more famous and successful game.
They are all just games, just silly games.

You should rush guardians in under 22 minutes. There should've already been about 20-40 hydras and 100+ lings by the end. Zerglings are only good for a quick bruising to another human opponent. But by then they'll rush too with their zerglings, marines, or zealots by the time you finish your batch.

@fabian696969 This early in the game micro can't help you much. Also, taking out all the SCVs isn't particularly important if the enemy already has a barracks or gateway. You'll want to destroy that before the SCVs so they won't be able to attack.

years since i played this last time but a couple tips:
Assign a group to your training building, this way you can easily recruit new units while exploring. Just 3 keystrokes.
While moving around is better to attack ground, pressing "a" before any move command. this way big groyups will optimise damage, by atacking closer to them.

A human player would have had 3-4 marines or a bunker. Only AI builds reffinery this early.

I agree with everyone this technique would screw you in multiplayer, but it really helps when playing against a computer.I give this video a perfect 5/5 because this technique is helpful.

Agree with JCCAFTER2, only noobs can fall with that or someone with a really bad luck , personaly when zergs rush me like that even if they find me quick , by the time zerlings arrive i already have at least 4 marines waiting for them , and by a second quick rush i have my bunkers or maybe some other stuf protectin the way, It works but depends who are u playing with .

ARRGGGG... is this FAST speed? ITS SO SLOW... split was D- level, rush was basic, and u can own just about sucky players with this build.
Go on iccup, find anything not D, and see how well you do.
Where it IS possible to beat good players with a 4/5/6 pool, I highly doubt YOU would be able to do it.
I can beat computers using my toes on a touchpad. That about shows your level of skill.
And I'm D+ on iccup. So yeah.
