Stupid Novice was like I'm gonna take this beast on!!! Swords woman is like stupid noob what the hell are you running in first for? Novice realize how stupid he is and gets smacked away with one swing then later when the fight is done comes out of no where and is like I'm gonna take the priest's spotlight like I did something LMAO!!! Love this vid makes me laugh all the time when I see that Novice. other then that awesome vid and music.
That's how it all started there are like 100+ books, and they only keep adding. They made the anime closer to the game, but still kept all the manga basics.

the ragnarok online game is based off the anime/manga. Anything that updates in the manga/anime is added to the game.
Though there are differences they still tie together.

thought it is true that the game is based out of the manga, it's not based out of the anime. the anime is based out of the game.
