@volodya2 I'm afraid you're mistaken. If you're basing your statement based on Böhms movements, well, he used to conduct a bit ahead of the orchestra, as any conductor nowadays, but look at the bows and you will see they're perfectly in-sync. Thank you for this wonderful memory! This was the first classical concert my parents took me to, when I was 9 years old ... many, many moons ago ;o)
Wonderful performance by Sir Wilhelm Backhaus and Maestro Karl Boehm!
And of course ~ my admiration for the one and only Ludwig van Beethoven!
