my ankle really hurts:(! I tripped going down the last step on my stairs and it twisted outwards, I can walk but it is very painful, doesn't make me cry though don't can't be that bad right?!

i rolled my ankle in may and i really dont know what i did to it i thought i sprained at first but it didnt swell and it stopped hurting after a while but now at random times it'll start hurting again!! i dont know what to do cause there it no evidence on the outside that it's hurt! and it's now august and it's hurting!!

Thank you for the help. I figured I had a sprained ankle, but i wasn't sure. It should have been obvious though, that pop was loud. Stupid dance moves, why you injure me!??! DX

Idk what happened but last night i was at softball and jumped a fince to get a ball and my shoe got stuck in the fince i landed right on my anlkle and we all laughed soon after that i started crying they told my to go sit down and take my shoe and salk off and it didnt swoll until i woke up at 5 in the morning to it hurting

I still donno its swollen alright amd hurts like hell but no discolouration that i can see and its been 2hrs simce ive gotten injured

Well, this morning i was wearing flip flops i jumped didnt land right and heard aa crack. About a minute later it turned grey/blue and very swolen! I might go to the doctors

I disagree w/ the fact that sprains hurt more. When my broken hand finally DID start hurting the pain was so overwhelming I actually got sick. We're talking tossed cookies sick.

And I only broke my hand. I'd probably die from a broken leg or arm if breaking a hand is that painful.

All those things he said are also indicative of a broken bone, except with a break the person may feel like something shifted and snapped inside the ankle. And putting any pressure on it will cause severe pain.

I broke my hand, and the doctor didn't believe me. But I felt something shift in my hand followed by extreme pain.

When the bruise swelled to the size of a golf ball, I went to the ER & refused to leave until they gave me an x-ray.

It was broken all the way up the bone shaft.
