For the 49ers..yes we lost the game. But we overcame 5 turnovers on the road, to put ourselves in a position to win the game. Brees broke the record because the referees (under pre-established NFL directions) helped him to break it. There were numerous offensive holdings from the Saints' offensive line never flagged during the game. I understand that the NFL wanted to make profit on him sending out a the image of a broken record, but this is not right. Drew Brees didn't deserve it and he is not even the half of a quarterback as Dan Marino. The Saints will not go far into the playoffs.

Brees broke the record because the referees (under pre-established NFL directions) helped him to break it. There were numerous offensive holdings from the Saints' offensive line never flagged during the game. I understand that the NFL wanted to make profit on him sending out a the image of a broken record, but this is not right. Drew Brees didn't deserve it and he is not even the half of a quarterback as Dan Marino. The Saints will not go far into the playoffs.

This record means little. The NFL has turned into a Madden simulation. Marino's accomplishment in the 80s is far better than Brees doing this on a year where 3 people were on pace to break this record late in the season. THREE people, on pace to beat a record that has stood for 27 years. The rules have changed dramatically to favor QB's and WRs basically putting skirts on them.
