Nice job 500 wheel horse has always been one of favorites since I was a child riding with my uncles in the back yard...

Brings back good memories...of him allowing me to cut the grass... Great videos and good work!!

Hey 500 i just finished watching that restore series.It was awesome,just fantastic.Now i just lost work time on my wheelhorse but your videos really helped me out ! What size is your shop,and how big of a compressor would i need for those paint jobs.Also your the best restorer i've seen [I guess i should come in from the shop,i think i've got a wife still in the house lol]

Awesome video series dude! You are to be commended! You did an awesome job laying out what it takes to restore a tractor. You went to great lengths to detail every aspect of the project, and your narration was just great!  Don't sell yourself short. You are extremely capable, and your finished project shows it. Well I have started my project officially. Picked up a 10hp Kohler today for $50 with the starter/gen with it. And picking up my 1967 Raider 10 monday for $50. I got alot of work ahead of me.

I just hope that mine turns out half as good as yours did, I am not putting as much sandpaper duty into mine though. It will shine but like factory not like yours. Wish I could give ya a 5 star but a thumb will have to do. :)

Hey man congrats! Looks great. Just some a quick note, when I did my raider 10 I bought a brand new throttle cable from them that had the twist left to lock in place and twist right to loosen for adjustment. Well, it wasn't long before my cable litterally quit turning, I dont' know if I got water in it or what, but it took a adjustable wrench to loosen the thing, so just so you know don't ever get it wet if you decide to wash the thing or somthing.

Nice to hear it running well!

Lawn is looking awesome at around 3 mintues, Very nice. Gotta spray weedkiller on the gravel before it gets taken over by weeds though!

This thing is truely awesome. So nice to see it finally finished, Trace seems to enjoy chasing it about anyway.

I still think I Sears (SS16!) should be next on the table!  Can't wait for the next one. Until then buddy!

bout damn time, SO the carb was too big? weird, thought it ran better when it was somewhat choked, guessing ya might had a 10 or 12 hP carb on it, i would have thougth it would run rich and make a grown man cry from being that way :)

you think you might do a case tractor next? if you dont like the hydraulic you can find a case 210 that is gear drive :). if you like round fenders case 130, clam shell case 195.

depends on how rough tractor is but

dont always have to sandblast .

i found it adds unnecessary steps sometimes.

that old paint thats baked on there for 40 yrs

makes killer primer , sometimes it better

to just sand by hand i think :)

@500passwords never thought of it that way, well. the previous owner painted over my tractor with a brush it seems, maybe I can sand that layer off and repaint.

get a da sander with 220 grit pads ,

or hand sand with 220 . should smooth right out

and be ready for one coat filler primer in bad spots.

sand one more time with 320 and paint it :)
