  • I lived in GC back when they had the SAAN store, Super A, The Bay, and Stedmans. There use to be a convenience store close by where you're standing (not sure if it's still there). I think it was a Red Rooster. I miss the town. My grandpa helped build the Lion's Club park by the condos where we lived. I was 8 when we moved there in '79 but when the mine shut down we moved away. My most vivid memories are of GC. I guess it's because I was always at peace.

  • Grande Cache is a lovely place. It's very hard to get the feel of it from pictures, as the scenery is so HUGE that it just won't fit into the lens. The sense of space is amazing.

I lived there when "the town" was still being built, and "the mine" was the town focus. I worked at the hotel (only one in town then).

  • GC is beautiful in its own way! Gorgeous cross country trails, very nice people...sunny weather, nice mounyains..and enough of the things I like so that I would come back!

  • you grande cache is a shit hole lol, only good thing is the mountains haha
