  • dont care bout wrong names, content was awesome

  • amazing vid loved it bigtime

  • i know drunken boxing... without boxing

  • i thought it was drunken fists

  • Easiest martial art to beat someone with? The RTBA technique. Right To Bear Arms

  • Half of the moves at the begining where Ninjitsu techniques. Nothing to do with Capoeira

  • @LuisUzumaki That's Joe Eigo tricking, he's a gymnast who knows some about capoeira.... Not ninjitsu at all...

  • Comment removed

  • 1:47 - 2:08 looks like drunk

  • @perrobursatil

yea! you like it? its called DRUNKEN boxing :P

  • I wish i can download all of these martial arts into my brain like the matrix!!

  • Martial arts is the best =u= wish I wasn't so fat then I'd love to try and learn some.

  • Sorry, but while the guy did *some* capoeira moves (bananeira, aú, rasteira, escorpião), he was mostly fooling around. There's no capoeira in this video.

    Greetings from Brazil.

  • My personal thought is that martlal arts are there to just fortify a persons way of fighting and quality of life

  • Isn't it kung fu, drunken style? Not drunken boxing? :P

  • My three favorite martial arts in one video... I think i'm going to cry.

  • Everyone loves watching drunken boxing.

  • Cool video.

  • 2:41 asian dude wipes his mouth :O holy shit!

  • well as an actual cagefighter, with some backround in kung fu, il say this.. there are fighting styles, and there are martial arts styles. for example MMa, muy thai, they teach you how to fight, americanised tang so do, shotokan etc, they teach you a martial art, not how to fight.

  • A good show about capoeira, this guy is really good!

  • Omg first video is acrobatics video NOT Capoeira i realy hate when ppl learn few acrobatics and some brake dance movemens and call them selfs capoeira figthers -.-

  • The fighter wins, not martial arts, it doesn't mater which one you choose.

  • squeeze your balls in 3 seconds

  • 5 years?

It takes more than 5 years to master ANY martial art. The debate is almost moronic because sure some styles might make you an adequate 'BRAWLER' but no a martial artist. Most people who follow mix martial arts never truly understand anyone of the disciplines they incoporate into their conditioning.

  • eso no es capoeira :@ solo es acrobacia!! en ningun momento vi la ginga!! D=

  • ok im still trynna figuere this out... wtf?? is dat wat its called drunken boxin? or does it have an actual name?? nd wf is da point of practicing how to fall so much if hes kicks were so ugly nd sloppy?? ahh SOMEBODY REPLY THIS ND EXPLAIN TO ME PLEASE!!

  • @coCHINO691

It's called Drunken Boxing. The act of Drunken Bocing is to appear drunk and still be able to kick your ass. The falls and the drinking action is all necessary, not to mention the point where he looks like he's throwing up

  • @MichaelTheSilageMan too many contradictions... someone told me its called drunken fist and dat it mimics the movements of a drunk but is still on hes 5 sences.. dat they dont actually drink to do it..

  • @coCHINO691

It's weird, some call it drunken boxing, others drunken master, and others drunken fist... Yeah, I read from some other youtube source that originally it was just kung fu while drunk, but it just developed into someone acting drunk, but yeah, they don't actually drink

  • i wanna see some real martial arts like this stuff in an mma ring.

  • @lonegroable

There is a reason why you don't see it in the ring...

It's 100% legal, but you'd get killed if you started bboying in front of a kickboxer. You do see a lot of cool demos though.

  • @MarshalNey13 no, capoeria has some legit fighting techniques, as well as any martial art thats why they have survived this long. sure you would have to change some stuff to fit the rules of a a sport but it can be done.

  • @lonegroable

The acrobatic moves have no place in reality-based combat sports like MMA. My challenge still stands, why don't you see it in MMA?

  • @MarshalNey13 but it is a martial art none the less and you can make the martial art what you want, if its dance then it will be that but if you want to kill people then it could be that too. why its not in the mma is a good question, i would like to see much more diversity inside the mma ring, things like white crane, shaolin, wing chun, akido, all great martial arts but not too popular in the ring.

  • @lonegroable

"make the MA what you want..." that's like me saying my cellphone is a weapon if I bash someone repeatedly over the head with it. I mean there are very athletic Capoeira practitioners who might be able to kick my ass but it's b/c they're beasts not b/c Cap is efficient.

If you want to see why there is not a lot of diversity in MMA look at the early UFC fights. These styles got weeded out when people saw that it's much easier to kick a thigh than do a handstand K-Kick.

  • @MarshalNey13 you dont do martial arts do you -_- if you do you dont understand it very well, yes your cell phone could be a weapon if you wanted it to be one thats the point i was makeing not sure what your trying to say. capoeria is based off of fighting while unbalanced much the same concept of drunken boxing, sure there are plenty of unrealistic techniques in it but you can make them realistic, depends on the person and objective.

  • @lonegroable

You missed my point. A cellphone "can" be a weapon but it's not meant to be, and trying to use one as such is stupid. I'd rather have a knife or gun than a cellphone to defend myself. I don't doubt there is some crossover in Capoeira... The guys I see doing it are usually jacked. But when you study capoeira you're not training fighting, you're training dancing. If that athleticism or a few basic strikes can be used in a real fight then good, but it's inefficient.

  • @MarshalNey13 its movements are not super efficient but they have a purpose. im not sure what your basing your thoughts off of here either just some cap vids youve seen on here or have you actually trained a few years in this style. its really hard to say a martial art sucks unless you really understand the art. i think that some people could come into the mma ring and beat them with capoeria, just like BJJ, i would never have guessed you could take a thai boxer down and submit him

  • one thing is to pretend to be drunk and pull these moves, the other is to actually be drunk and do the same moves. the later is a lie. nobody can fight well while drunk.

sure drunken boxing is a great demonstration of the kung fu artist prowess and as a fighting method, if sober.

  • interesting... if ya in to dance routines..

  • I love doin Zui Quan but doin something like 2:40 would break my leg XD

  • wat is the move called that he does at 1.10 ?

  • I feel like games like Tekken and Soul Calibur give us the false impression that all martial arts are created equal. So much wasted movement.

  • @MarshalNey13 Which one are you talking about? All of the martial arts have the movements they do because of their purpose. Also, these people are probably not masters, so they have more movement than the masters would, so you cannot totally judge these martial arts by these people.

  • @elfboy676

Capo & Drunken Boxing have superfluous movements that make them more of a dance than an effective fighting system. the arm waving of the DB and the freakin gymnastics of the cap are just horribly inefficient. Aikido seems to have the opposite problem, too little movement. The Aiki guy makes the guy go flying across the mat with just a tiny shove. I get that they are demonstrations, but like I said, more dance than actual fighting.

  • @MarshalNey13

there was no dance in that and it actually works. and the reason that capoeira looks like dancing is because at one point you werent allowed to practice fighting in brazil so they made it look like dancing.

  • @DrewO45

So if they made it look like dancing...lol.

I just think that the handstands and backflips waste tons of energy while serving no legitimate purpose.

  • @MarshalNey13 you know nothing about capoeira, yanno what, it's best you stay that way. it's good for you

  • @bboyzshannon

Look, I've never done Cap but i used to breakdance, "bboyzshannon," and a lot of this looks very familiar.

I'm sure you believe there is some mystical secret that only cap practitioners know.

Well the burden of proof is on the cap practitioners to explain how a flashy backflip or a risky move that puts your face on stomping level is actually efficient. If you have no answer then maybe you know nothing about reality/physics and it's best you stay in Capoiera land.

  • @MarshalNey13

All of the acrobatics in cap are used to dodge and fake out your opponent. Try to follow a capoeira fighter in a fight; you can't. Then they use that against you.

  • @AkatsukiPR0

I don't buy it. it looks highly inefficient and very risky. It's a dance. I'd love to see live cap sparring but I can't find any.

  • @AkatsukiPR0 Yea against normal people against a kickboxer or other kicking styles they just give the cap guy a kick and stay far away .

  • @MarshalNey13 In this video although there is some capoeira there is also alot of tumbling (flips, handsprings) i do capoeira and am a gymnast so i can tell the difference, dont try and belittle capoeira, its an art form and requires talent. capoeira was around b4 breakdancing so it is derived in some way, from capoeira. research it before u bitch about it and also, capoeirista's use gravity to their advantage and flow with the fight, rather than fight it and the opponent with brute force

    owned!

  • @jackslasho

    Chill dude.

"dont try and belittle capoeira" I'm not belittling it. I'm saying it's a very cool dance.

"its an art form and requires talent." So is gymnastics, so is breakdancing.

"...use gravity to their advantage and flow with the fight" This is very vague. The style uses a lot of flashy, energy-wasting and dangerous (dance) moves. What happens to your head if you miss a K-Kick? Or if the guy kicks you in the face when you squat in front of his legs? It's a cool dance...

  • nice , but its drunken fist not drunk boxing

  • @Christian123JP Actually its called both, and its also called monkey kung fu;just putting that out there.I mostly call it by the chinese term Zui Quan.

  • @Kotaro94 yeah thats right

  • damn... that was pretty cool. i've never really seen aikido used against kicks and such. thanks for the vid.

  • Drunken boxing rocks:...just imagine a guy out of a pub ona friday night doing that...

  • drunken boxing ??

    oque é isso ?

    é uma luta ?

    um teatro ?

ou uma pessoa bebada ? hahahahha

  • the akido shit looks soo coooooool... Because the way the other gets thrown away... they look like Ragdolls hehehe

  • the best flying squirrel in the world at 0:10

  • Fuck, well i type more but good ole youtube fucked it up. Guess my whole three post were too fucking much. Any ways if you want me to explain more let me know. I haven't even got to Aiki yet...later.

  • Very nice drunken boxing and akido thank you

  • Is aikido actually useful? anyone know this answer? cuz so far I've shit kicked 3 of them in MMA competitions.

  • Very it's just a Master class martial art.

You can't just pick it up and run with it.

Not like your Muay Thai and BJJ arts.

That's why so many people turn to those arts.

There aren't alot of mechanics behind either of these arts. It's pretty much just you trying to overpower or tire out the other guy with BJJ and land a armbar, keylock, or something. and Muay Thai has simple but effective fail-safes should you ever get caught-up.

  • @TutNStrut alright cool, I'm just trying to learn everything I can about every martial art, I train in a lot of Muay Thai and Vale Tudo and similar styles, I just found kung fu's stand up and aikido's grappling or throws very ineffective in real situations or MMA competitions, Unless you have the craziest timing and reflexes to anticipate every move.

  • That's the thing, most styles of Kung-Fu (Atleast stateside) are NOWHERE near what they were meant to be and there's so many variations of the arts that never got completed or ended up Whu-Shu (Which is basically sportsmen's Kung-Fu/stage show BS like what this guy in the video did.) that it's hard to really find a place were you can learn and become a solid fighter using the art. Alot of the techniques in Kung-Fu which in essence means "Hard work" require that your body be the fruit of just

  • that. Alot of the techniques used in the Kung-Fu may seem like little smacks or taps or like they have alot of speed but no power. But in all actuality the techniques are meant to be used by men with who train 6-8 hours everyday and have bodies like steel and fist like diamonds. Bruce Lee was not a very big man by any means but he could put you on your ass with one inch worth of that strength i'm talking about. Your average American martial artist is too lazy and too unwilling to go through

  • true

  • aikido is very useful. most police forces teach a modified version of it to the new recruits. Drunken boxing on the other hand... is very theatrical but due to the alcohol factor (no one ever knows how much drink they needed before it would have the opposite effect ).....

  • @vulcannut99 I can see it being useful if you spar a ton, not just practice choreographed moves like I usually see.

But yes I can see it being useful when modified.

  • not egzackly...the drunken fist(zui quan/tchoy chuan)is the art of ''mimiking'' the drunkard

by losining the muscels you get a better balance and easier to fall without hirting yourself....(srry for the bad english its been a while since i've bin in the states)

  • @IgorOgamer have you ever seen "Legend of the Drunken Master" starring Jackie Chan? you should check it out. it has the whole story where it came from and why it isn't widely practiced anymore. and the movie is HILARIOUS!!

  • Just correct you there Raxus, ACROBATS fat looking dudes and drunkards XD

  • so the ethical lesson of this vid is: Never mess with dancers, fat looking dudes and drunkards.... xD

  • drunken master XD

  • if only singapore organises a martial arts tourney for all styles, not jus silat or jujit only

  • You write here capoeira is the best, mma is the best......but I think it depends more on fighter, than on style.

  • @Taur33363 100% true....

  • @Taur33363 ok then there you just said it pretty much there is no best, its all on the fighter

  • @Taur33363 Lol you both are wrong MMA is the third best style for real life street fights number one are tension points like wing chun, Ninjutsu 2de Joint manipulations like Aikido and also Ninjutsu and more ofc and then MMA. in a real street fight the worst position is fighting on the ground you know from up or down.

  • @LordReaper13 you have no idea what your talking about stop embarrassing your self

  • @tomgibson605 cmon man that comment of me was like a year ago cant even remember what the heck i said but i know that iw as probley wrong as usual lol

  • @tomgibson605 i just checked what i said months ago and i still pretty agree with it just the peace with mma coz ye mma is everything

  • @tomgibson605 hahaa now i see whats wrong about what i said ! i mean with the ground worst position in street fights coz the guy might have friends

  • @Taur33363 Truthfully, it really does depend on the fighter. Jet Li made a huge point about that saying, "There isn't any one stype that is better than any other, if someone can defeat another by using Japanese Karate, does that mean that Karate is better? No, it just means that's what works for that person."

  • @Taur33363 correct !

  • @Taur33363 i think that is so true it doesnt matter about the style it matters about the fighter!!!

  • @Taur33363 MMA is not a martial art dude. These are great for balance but these martial arts are more "art" than "martial" I personally think aikido's pretty shit and drunken boxing makes for good movies

  • @Spooncillo read it again,I didnt said that MMA is martial art...you have your opinion,I have mine.I dont criticise their fighting only because they dont fight in cage.Even martial ARTIST could defeat MMA fighter (or MMA fighter could defeat martial artist)...still,I have my opinion.

  • @Taur33363 MMA is the shit. I've got a pro fighter friend and he's kicked my ass so many times I'm pretty scared of him. I was actually talking about Aikido and Ninjutsu when I said they're pretty shit. Just because you have an opinion doesn't make something true ;) BJJ4LIFE XD

  • @Spooncillo I think that if one fighter cannot accept other styles it is only because of his stupidity and arrogance.Your friend maybe just won, because he is better fighter...Sorry if I offend you or something...

  • @Taur33363 MMA isnt your style its called mixing your martial arts i am sick of these fags saying they take MMA classes try actually mixing your martial arts

  • @tomgibson605 I am sorry, if it offended you too much.

  • @Taur33363 nothing is the best.in mma, when you hit someone, you dont say "are you ok?, lets start over", u keep hitting them.. REAL martial arts is not about hitting someone, its about respect, and self improvment...

    go learn something

  • @MsDumnut Compering styles is one thing, comparing how they respect each other there is another. I didn't say anything about how are they treating them selves...just that comparing martial arts (/in case of mma fighting sports) is not right. Martial artist is still a fighter, sometimes he fights mostly against himself, but it is still a fight.

Maybe a lesson in reading, or understanding the text, wouldn't hurt you. Who should LEARN now? (Yeah, I can write capital letters as well =P)

  • @Taur33363 When you are content to be simply yourself and don't compare or compete, everybody will respect you.

    ~ Lao-Tzu

A superior man is modest in his speech, but exceeds in his actions.

    ~ Confucius

im not going to argue with you about writing, because im not a writer.I dont want to argue about martial arts, because neither of us are the best martial artist.a man once climbed a tall mountain, and when the villagers saw in awe, he kept on climing...

  • Comment removed

  • @MsDumnut Nicely said.

  • @Taur33363 The better fighter always wins doesn't matter what you do

  • CPOEIRA IS THE BEST

  • Capoeira isn't really..Practical. It's definitely the coolest martial art, in my opinion. But, it's not the best.

  • not drunken boxing this is drunken master fist

  • some of this stuff is in northern shiolin kung fu

  • @lamarzocco87 :Sorry if you dont like my English, but i never have studied, well but thosent metter.

And btw i just want to say that aikido isint that easy at the beginning, like other martial arts.

One of the most important thinks, not just for aikido, is the reflections.

And when i was fighting, i normally tried to fight vs some one who has better and/or more experience and skills then i had.

    See ya

    Probiedades

P.S Sorry diden't saw that the song name was on the description.

  • Probiedades... maybe you should take up English for 7-8 years... I learn Aikido and i have friends that learn many different martial arts. I ALWAYS come out on top...

  • Try fighting an MMA fighter and see who comes out on top ....

  • I am a MMA. Most people that study any arts these days are. Only way to succeed

  • Comment removed

  • Well i just can talk about aikido, i did it around 7-8 years and it is hard to fight if you oponend got some martial art skills.

It is mush easyer to fight vs some one who dont got that mush skill, that meens he has to fight aggressive, so u can use his power against him.

    P.S

Any one knows the name of the song ?

    Thanks

  • Akido has some agressive moves, Dislocated my shoulder when we were practicing some of those locks to compare with the locks in eskrima. The songs breaking benjamin-So cold. Might i add :P awsome taste in music

  • capoeira e ligera!!!! axé

  • I've had my fair share of seeing/using Drunken Boxing, just don't try to use it on someone you've ben hangin with for a while, they'll see right through your act, and they'll know what your trying to do (confuse them) and if they have any knowledge whatsoever they wont underestimate you.

  • true .

  • srry man aikido ownd and owns

  • Also sorry for my grammar.

  • I don't doubt the effectiveness of TKD,but the schools in america are sadly plagued the the Mcdojo. Aikido is good for self defense, but it is gonna take a while before your daughter can use Aikido effectively. Also sorry for my grammar.

  • I agree, akido is a great martial art, but it does rely on the opponent being aggressive. Otherwise there is not fight and no movement to use against.

  • Even the most hardcore schools in Korea don't produce effective fighters. TKD relies on too many snap kicks that lack power, and their hands are almost completely undeveloped. TKD has had no real success in competitive kickboxing (even olympic medalists), but against the common man on the street TKD would still be effective.

  • I DO love drunken boxing!

  • I am impressed! Свака част! Pozdrav iz Srbije:) Osu!

  • Yay look at the first one, that's Joe Eigo. He's been practicing acrobatics for quite a while and his jumping power is amazing, however I doubt that he is practicing capoeira. It looks more like XMA (Extreme Martial Arts, which actually is not a martial art, but acrobatics with martial arts alike elements). I know that you put it your description aznboy ^^

  • The first minute is my favorite. The music is distracting. The athlete in lilac suit is cool too. The choreographer is especially refreshing.

  • nevrmindthanx oops

  • nice song what is the name pls thanx

  • If a martial art takes longer to master it's worthless? Capoeira,Aikido and Drunken boxing would take atleast 5 years to master. While Muay Thai or Karate takes 2 years. The martial arts showcased in the video are effective. You just gotta put a little bit more effort into them. But what do I know about drunken boxing. I only practice Capoeira and Aikido.

  • Since u practise , I was wondering if u could help me with something,I wanted to have my daughter start taekwondo this month, shes only 6 nearly 7, but my wife went and enrolled to her Aikido, I wasnt to happy about that. But what do you think is better for a 6/7 year old to start from the two! Is aikido worth it?

  • I don't realy like to bash particular ma styles; I think everything from Wushu to Hwarangdo has something valuable to teach. However, there are many styles that just aren't practical for combat. I would advise Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class for a first martial art: it will teach your daughter balance, flexibility, and how to use her strength most efficiently; in addition to all the practical submission techniques she will learn. Many good BJJ schools also work in conjunction with MMA schools too.

  • Thank u for ure feedback. I really appreciate it. Will definately look into brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

    PEACE

  • 0:31.

I always thought that move was only used in TKD. Also if a martial art can keep you alive on the street it isn't worthless.

  • The roundhouse kick can be found in capoeira too (martelo).

  • yeahhhh its a capoeirista gooddd

  • Comment removed

  • aikido definately works

  • Cool drunken boxing footage.

  • Yeah, but that was 2002. What has he done lately?

  • wow great song what is it? and really nice video!

  • 0:36 HURICANE KIIIICK.

  • LOL DRUNKEN BOXING LOL ....du u actuli hav 2 b drunk 2 du drunken style?

  • no way. drunken boxing pwns all. wushu vs aikido, wushu gunna win, especially drunken boxing.

  • Aikido is my style of fighting :) it rules and can be the most annouying fighting style to fight against. lol believe me i know AND I AM ONE!

  • yea drunken boxing rocks xD

  • we all love drunken boxing :D

  • this is the compilation of the three most pointless martial arts... if u practice those and use it in a fight, ur just asking to get ur ass kicked

  • you obviously have never seen a true akido fighter..

  • stevan segal.... and i think he is all bs

  • they arent the 3 most pointless martial arts aikido really does work when you see people practice it they move with the partner so they dont get hurt one time in my aikido class i tried to not move with it & tore the ligament in my left elbow & it was a white belt technique capoeira is a great martial art cause it helps strengthen every muscle in the body & trains those muscles so that in a real fight that your attacks will be fast & strong drunken boxing is deceptive & difficult to use properly

  • Very true. When I went to my first aikido lesson I was surprised to learn that half the art is recovering and not breaking your arm in practicing its techniques.

  • Israel is definitely right, 3 most pointless martial arts. Drunken boxing has been proven to be ridiculously horrible ( just search fight science punching, and fight science kicking). I guarantee i will not live to see the day when we see someone become famous because of his ability to fight using any of these 3 techniques, unless they get their ass beat and it becomes an international joke.

  • not pointless. all have much to offer if not at the very least enhancing another martial art.

  • pointless??? ....u sound like an ignorant....read about story of capoeira first dumbass...about mestre bimba and how he beat all of the martial artist in his combats in all brasil

  • @ioriXx because she was well trained dumb ass

  • @MultiHelloperson first of all, Mestre Bimba was a MAN you moron. Again, dont talk shit about things you do not know......poor bastard.

  • @ioriXx ohh im sorry i miss spelt he you cant just go off kicking peoles butts if your not trained well and he was very well trained thats why he could do it you ******* dumbass

  • acrobatics ok but real capoeira?? nope.....

  • Granted capoeira looks cool, im having trouble finding anything truely applicable

  • the name of the song, please!!

  • so cold

    by: breaking benjamin

  • I am practicing drunken Aikido. This new style is absolutely great beacause you really have to drink beafore training.

  • New style??? That sounds like half the Aikido practitioners I know...

  • that dragonball Z guy will own them

  • Capoeira rox :D awsome video btw ;)

  • capoera is the best !!! ahuuhauhauha sou brasileiro mas jo fasest capoeira

  • Akido is awesome

  • whatever this is, its tight as hell.

  • again this shit ain't capoeira

  • lol so funny his moves look like aikido w/ capoeira

  • Man!!!! That capoeira bloke is the best I have ever seen He is an incredible athlete
