That was very informative. I have the TT5000, bought it in 2005. Very sturdy smooth machine. Need routines that are in rapid sequence to reduce the amount of reconfiguring the machine and get the heart rate up Please add routines.
I have the Total Gym and you really have to work it before seeing results. I like how the Total Trainer sets up better so much more safer unfolding with safety handle. Also I like the idea how the bars set up better than Total Gym. Now I wish I had a Total Trainer
@Mike10562009 I bought the total gym and my brother bought the Total Trainer and we noticed that the Total Trainer was better quality by far in every aspect and was less then half the price.
I feel like I wasted my money and now I am getting a Total Trainer like I should have in the first place.
I bought the BayouFitness Total TrainerDZ because I thought $1,000 minimal price for the Total Gym HOME fitness machine was a bit much. I paid about 1/2 the amount. From reading reviews and seeing both machines in person, I personally feel the Bayou is better made and has at least as many features.
I use to be a pro athlete right up until my late 20's. This machine can really benefit anyone except competing body builders in my opinion. I have the TT500 and have made my own ropes and guides in addition to what you get as standard. You can add additional weights to it too. One this machine can do better than anything else I've ever seen is to give you a stamina workout FAST.
@london1817 When you purchase the machine just about every routine is in the books you get. The trick is to combine them in the right way for a fast workout. My advice is to try every excercise and just slowly work into the perfect routine for you.
I just bought one of these myself and I am totally impressed with the quality of this unit (the 3500XL). I am a heart bypass survivor and I get a good cardio workout as well, but I supplement with treadmill work twice a week.
These units are less than half of a comparable Total Gym and I wholeheartedly recommend it!
where can i buy a dvd to go with my total trainer pilates system. i have the old vhs tapes and i do not even have a vcr anymore. Thanks a bunch.
