@VampireWeirdo1234 Lolno. TXR was around a long time before Midnight Club and they're two COMPLETELY different games. Midnight Club is an arcade style city racer and Tokyo Xtreme Racer is a realistic Japanese highway racer. Don't make assumptions on things you don't know about sir. Besides, this game wrecks Midnight Club's shit big time. The feeling of having power and skill on your side is much better than the feeling of having that shot of nitrous to save your ass on a mistake.

@RIEKSONE Uhh just a fyi, American and European cars have been in TXR for a long time now. TXR2 and Zero have the Dodge Viper, some Porsches, and a BMW and TXR3 has the Dodge Viper, Pontiac Firebird, Ford Mustang, Ford GT40 and Chevrolet Corvette C4 ZR-1 representing American cars and they have cars from Lotus, Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz, and Gemballa (they build custom racing performance Porsches) all representing Europe. You either didn't play TXR or you didn't get far in it I'm assuming.

the game's underrated because of low amount of scenery. take underground, it has many scenes of characters and stuff, but gameplay honestly was shit compared to many other racing games that they themselves also are underrated. though i don't like (HATE) the 360, i wish to play import and see just how good the game got.

This game is what made me fall in love with JDM.

I remember one non-boss group leader was such a pain in the ass, forgot what group he led but he drove a bugeye WRX STI with something around 800 horsepower. I had to ram him into a truck to beat him.

That is actually exactly how a nsx sounds like, one of the most accurate nsx sounds. I would know I own one =) I do miss this game so much and this and part 3 was had the best racing intro ever. Too bad they can't make a game like this again on the 360. The import tuner version was such a disappointment.

Currently it's the only Shutoku style racing game for the PS3 that is produced by GENKI. It is unknown if there will be a Shutoku Battle XI.
