They record to a higher tempo of the song. When it is played in normal tempo, it will have a nice slow motion effect. (and it will be lipped synched). It is used A LOT in todays videos.

almost all videos are recorded like that. then it will be speed down. it make a cool efect, the mouth is in the same time whit the song while the image is slower
