that was really weak... I mean this technique doesn't seems to give any dramatically valuable result. Maybe if you've tried harder and select samples and envelope settings more carefully?
@wiretotheear great tutorial! Thank you for sharing this! By the way you don't need the compressor to increase the volume of the samples. By default when you insert a sample in a simpler the volume is -12. You can change that by going to the simpler, search for "Volume" input/knob and change it :) Cheers mate!
@wiretotheear: you'd be faster creating each simpler by First creating one, adding the sample, grouping the simpler, then click the "chain" and duplicate the CHAIN as many times as you wish...
great tutorial a little faster way to get past the loading and editing of the sample in each simpler is to drag your audio sample into an audio track, right click it and select "slice to new midi track" from there you select your cut rate (1/4,1/8 etc.) and instrument you would like to use such as the sampler or drum rack. it will cut up your sample and lay it out on your keys.from here create your group and duplicate your instrument and proceed with the tutorial this kind sir has provided.
Your a smart guy and obviously know what your doing but the clicking sound on the tutorial was driving me crazy might just be me but it was to much. thanks for a good tutorial though.
nice tutorial but I think its missing a step, I cant play back anything I can play with my computer keyboard and get sound but thats it, I hit play or spacebar or try to record as Im tapping my keys and nothing no sound or recorded sound so its kind of useless as I cant do anything but tap my keys to get sound

you shouldn't use a compressor to "make things louder" cause it change the dynamics. Just boost it with a utility or the volume control on the sampler/simpler.
i dont want voice manipulation all that shits easy, i want no how do good vocoding and autotunin. tutorials n techniques if any1 knows of any. like the proper stuff in the charts or even somethin like the harder better faster stronger vocals. i can kind of do it i jus want improve n thats wat its all about
@grosslyfatfrommaccas Plus 1 may I add If you want to learn that find that video why are you leaving a comment? Find a vocoder video or an autotunes video then. Both pretty easy things to do this is not as well known.
To people having problems previewing samples in simpler:
Try transposing the sound clip in simpler. By default it's set to zero, which may be too low for certain samples - if it's something you've sampled yourself this is especially true. Sometimes it takes quite a lot of shifting to hear the clip correctly but just play with it until you can hear it right.
Just figured that out last night and figured I could save other people the trouble. Ace vid by the way.
Can you please, I mean I BEG you to begin your every tutorial from now on with "Hello, my name is Oliver, and I'm gonna tell you a story..." in the same voice as you-know-which-track ;P

@ghostom998 ...Dude, "i dont want voice manipulation all that shits easy, i want no how do good vocoding and autotunin."
I'd suggest becoming familiar with spell check before attempting to use a vocoder.
Good luck!
