Certainly one of the major problems in the public schoola arena is the money seldom reaches the schools, kids and teachers where it belongs. Out of $11,000 per student cost, I'm guessing only $4,000 to $6,000 per student actually goes towards teaching. The Dept. of Education is extremely top-heavy and has little to show for the amount of money it spends.
Excellent video! Melissa Bean doesn't understand individual liberty and freedom. If Americans thought we needed to cut down on emissions, we could do so in the free market by buying only from companies that limit their pollution. We don't need some clueless bureaucrat taxing us more and centrally planning the U.S. energy industry via carbon credits.
Not to mention that the "science" behind anthropogenic global warming is plagued with fraud and conflicts of interest.
Once again, the public sector fails. Our public school system either needs to be revamped or removed to let the private sector handle. I recommend the latter, at least that way the state does decide what our children learn.
So is Joe suggesting that the Dept of Education should be completely dismantled or is it just the "waste and abuse" he would get rid of??
