what bothers me is that this game goes against jack's character in Mgs2 (scarred as a child soldier) . It would be good if rising started off with Jack having nightmares of his past alongside Rose who is calm asleep. Raiden should run away and learn his new skills (which you can see in this trailer) by the peace corps. Does anyone else think this game should have Gray Fox as a playable character that has a connection to Raiden too ? Maybe if they meet at some point as enemies as children.

I wanted fast-paced metal gear action, but not like this. It's all so exaggerated and clean. No real charm or grit that I was hoping for. I'll still play it but it's just a bit disappointing.
The only problem I have with this game is when it takes place. When it was first develop, it was suppose to take place b4 MGS4, to explain how he became a cyborg and how he save sunny from the patriots, etc. But now this takes place after MGS4, after raiden got a happy ending and was back to normal again. So some crazy shit happen, that he had to go cyborg -___-. I have no problem with the Platinum games, just the possible direction the plot may go in this game. I still have high hopes for it
I only have three problems with this: the aesthetics and colors simply don't match MGS4's and I just don't like inconsistencies like like these, I'm more of a European knights and broad swords rather than Japanese samurai and katanas guy and the normal guys seem to take too many hits for humans (even if reinforced with cybernetics) getting cut with a sword that can cut through giant robots - the same thing happened in Force Unleashed and it was as awkward looking there as it is here.
Why not just keep it ''Metal Gear Rising''? they need a dictionary or something because im pretty sure Revenge and Vengeance is the same thing. I could be wrong though

@annnan So basically I'm all over the collaboration, man. Even if I think that the SOLID series which was done solely by Koij Pro, as you call 'em, is STILL miles ahead of Platinum Games in the presentation & narrative departments, even though Platinum's game design's on fire for the last couple of years.

It's be a cool if it was an action game that rewards you for hack and slash and punishes you for stealth (in terms of challenge) kind of the opposite of MGS games where you are encourage to sneak but beaten down if you charge head on.

@TorresRacing1890 Uh dude, this was never supposed to be a stealth game, if you saw any of the previous trailers you'd realize that.
@BurLy93 What are you talking about the graphics looked better? The only in engine stuff they showed was a few demo's of really slow and boring cutting mechanics, any semi action type sequences were CG.
This looks to be a very good action game that will probably have an equally good storyline (Metal Gear stories do tend to get a little convoluted).

Dude, why the hell all games have to be the same in a franchise. I don't see no one complaining now with Megaman Legends, that is completely different with all the other Megaman Games.
I hope this game is awesome as it looks and don't dissapoint but geez, all you want is "MGS4 with new maps, and quick because I don't know the work that is to do a story that don't ruin the franchise"
