I'm a technician and expert Windows user/modder. Trust me, this doesn't work. If XP is slow on your system, it's 2012 now, this was 2008. Get a 7 laptop, and it'll be so much faster. If not, just use Linux Mint 12 and you'll never have a single problem with anything, including viruses. Your welcome.

This is not an overclock. You'd need control of the BIOS to do that. This is just fudging the system information so applications that keep time based on clock speed run faster. That's all.
