I went to see them loads of times - a few when they were supporting and I only stayed for them...lol....I remember being a right dork going into the shop and asking for LA Rain but the LA as in the French...La Rain, what a tosser I must have sounded to the guy behind the counter!!!!!!!

I saw them 5 or 6 times & were always worth the effort. Could never quite get my head round why a good Leeds lad had developed an American accent though

saw this lot supporting one of Play Dead's last gigs in Manchester in '86 - they got boo'ed off as they were so shiite

Next time I saw them was when I was at leeds poly and they shopped at the local morrisons leather clad complete with guitar cases with the rose of avanche logo buying beans............

Must have been one of the last gigs with the "classic" line-up. THe next month, Glenn had left, Nicol was on his way out and Mark only stuck around a few more gigs. Down to a 3 piece with new bass player and a drum machine by the autumn tour
