  • I've watched MotoGP since the 90's, I love the 2 stroke prototypes flying around and the sound they make! Tried to watch the 4 strokes but its not the same - they're slower in the bends. First the 500 class and now the 250's are gone, If I wanted to watch 4 strokes I'd watch superbikes(Yawn). And they're replaced with much bigger engines too. The first 2010 MotoGP was on and I watched the Paris-Roubaix cycle race instead. Bring back 2 strokes or MotoGP can play to itself - I WONT BE WATCHING.

  • @pmfdude

You think that the 2010 MotoGP spec 800s have lower corner speeds than the 500 two strokes used to? Gimme a break. I love that era too, but lap times have dropped many seconds per lap since then and not all of it is due to the increase in top speed.

    You're missing some great racing!

  • @Japhrodisiac I'm not here to fall out with you, But please listen to yourself, 800cc vs 500cc and similar weight machinery? And do you remember the 500s had to carry balast to bring them up to the minimum weight limits? If there was a 2010 spec 500cc 2 stroke(direct fuel injection) vs the present 800cc 4 stroke(F1 tech) it wipe the floor with the 800. The true competition has gone out of this to make way for marketing more 4 strokes. 2 strokes had a huge clean future - someone pulled the plug.

  • Moriwaki was rejected unfortunately.

  • It's a 4 stroke world...and these machines are fast compared to the 250s. Even in prototype form, they are up there with the best of the 250s. That without the help of eletronics. And moto2 will help manufacturers make better 600s us in the future...

  • @TurboNosHayabusa1 How will it help manufacturers ?!

Since there's no manufacturers besides Honda in Moto 2.

    .

Best riders, what B* is that ?!

Professional racers need racecraft, work ethic, technical development skills, communication skills, high adaptability besides pure riding skill.

    .

Spec this, spec that, free for everyone surely is gonna help create spec drivers, not professional racers.

  • @darkoneforce2

There is something in the industry called upping the ante and competitiveness... you are looking at the surface now. Look deeper and see what I see.

  • @TurboNosHayabusa1 What is it exactly that you see ?!

    Cause I ain't seeing it.

  • "this class isnt for technological gain its for the best rider" (quote) no 250 is for best riders and throttle control this douch bag is retarded........

  • two strokes are better than four strokes

  • motogp 250s still have faster laptimes than the prototype moto2 bikes.. This is going to be a boring class.. like A1 GP.

  • how is it going to be boring? All the same engines, hardly any electronics.

  • 2 Strokes are harder to ride, spikey power delivery, twice as many power pulses per RPM (faster traction loss at limit of grip), lighter weight bikes and no engine braking. The riders have already said how easy they are to ride.

  • rossi said in the video FASTER - "the two strokes the 500...they are from another planet..." ;)

still prefer the two strokes...they are insane!!

  • 250's has been going since 1949

the 250 class was never meant to boost 2 stroke sale$ , was never about money.

how could they end it w/ street bike engine

Dorna has no respect for history

thank$ Dorna for another ingenious idea!

  • Say bye bye to the 2-stroke era :(

  • I wish I could hear the engines more than the music in the on-track footage.

  • thats correct so that we will know whos the best!
