@xshanghu ASSA makes many many profiles and keyways.
you would much more specific.
what type of ASSA?
does it have a sidebar?
regular ASSA pin tumblers have counterbored chambers, and spools with serrations that are designed to lock up solid when rotation is applyed very hard to bump.
@Xaio30 Not surprised. The old 5 pin was "piece of cake". Add 1 pin more and higher precision manufacturing etc. Harder to pick, bump etc. but still doable. Get one that can't be picked like that. Like Ruko Garant or similar. That you just don't pick, bump or open with a pick gun in an instant.
It is impressive, but just so you know that lock does not have the complete security check. The one you should try to get the hold of is in the 4000 or 5000 series. With a side combinaton in adittion to the "normal one. But the lock is very accurly made so its a tricky lock to pic. And if you want a big callenge you have the 6000 s. And the trusty old 700 s. with the mushroom pins and brutal springs. I have a big giant padlock class 4 rated here that I cant get open cus its a 700 syl in it :(
Then just for your info it probably is a 1000-series in a euro profile body. It is not something that is recommended to put in your door and if you do you probably wont get your insurance money. I have a lot of info on this lock if you are interested.
yeah hes a cool kid that gege euro cylinder he sent me im not havn much luck with it very restricted key way. nicely pickt made it look very ez, 5*s as usual
DAMN! It's nice to see an ASSA lock picked, a lock you see like every day. Have you tried to pick the twin combi lock? It has an extra row of small pins.
WOOOW Amazing - that lock was one high security lock, you made it look so easy, its unreal!! i have one more lock higher security than that one , its on its way...5 **** is not enough you deserve more for that lock....
Question: Can an ASSA lock be bumped. If so, who sells bump keys for the ASSA lock
Thank you.

That is not much of a security lock.
The keyway is to big too.
In my back door I use a lock with 5 tumblers on the side too.
Further it is a normal profile cilinder.
The key looks impressive.
I would send you a lock.
But good locks are expencive.
john1230 2 years ago
sorry,but you are dead wrong.
that IS a euro profile cylinder
and it IS a very high security lock.
ASSA is VERY high quality.
where are you getting your information?
wizwazzle 2 years ago
oh,and by the way, you are now faced with a decision.
you can either apologize for being a total ass, or ill be forced to block your ability to comment on my vids.
your decision..
i could care less what you do,but take note, your actions have been noted and logged. =/
(i am not hard to get along with, all i ask is a little respect.)
you have 24 hrs.
wizwazzle 2 years ago
I you are able to pick it makes it a non-security lock to me :)
And the keyway looked really big to me.
I've seen some Assa locks. They where the "Mwahh-kind"
I thought, the way it is built makes it a Euro profile cylinder, and most used in Europe of course.
What used to be a security lock now, is a normal lock next week.
I know what kind of lock we used to have when I was a kid.
No one would use that anymore for a outdoor.
I'm interested in locks, but not THAT much I could pick a security lock.
john1230 2 years ago
And could a lock with only with only 5, or 6 pins, called a security lock? Even if it are security pins?
I think it needs much, much more these days.
As a lock brand, you must keep developing your locks.
Seen the new Abus security line?
The profile itself looks real hard.
And there are pins sideways too.
Like I said, I'm not an expert in this.
Ever picked an Ingersoll padlock?
john1230 2 years ago
the new abus doesnt even use tumblers or springs they use rotating discs abloy style.
( i dont see an apology above...)
you now have 12 hrs.
you have Absolutely no idea what you are talking about!
you are now saying that the lock is low security because i can pick it?!!!?
that is a direct insult to me.
i earned the skillset i have, and it took a long time...
this was NOT an EZ lock to pick..(i practiced until i got it right.)
i GUARANTEE you couldn't do it.
wizwazzle 2 years ago
I'm sorry! OK?
What do you want?
Should I put a vid on YT, with me on my knees begging for mercy?
And you're right. I couldn't pick that lock.
I'm to busy to do such things.
But I do collect locks, not picking them.
I don't have that much locks.
I'm sure you have more.
If I do like it's design, and the way it's built I add it to my collection.
john1230 2 years ago
okayyyy...=/
lol...like i said...just a little respect..
so you collect?
i really like videos that show rare old locks.
anyway, sorry to get off on the wrong foot, but lets just call that history,ok?
=)
