@lonewolf87th We had a process server who was a nice guy who would serve us all the time at the LMT. Gene was his name as I recall.

I'm not sorry we made this process server's job a little uncomfortable this night. It is good to show how Scientology operates. They had PI's follow critics to a restaurant and get this process server to speed over there. All because people came from around the world to protest Lisa McPherson's death that weekend.

In my jurisdiction sheriffs officers deliver writs. They do it for a fee for any private party, or otherwise by court mandate.

Best I'm aware, anyone competent to swear an affidavit can serve process.

If you're a plaintiff serving your own summonses on a defendant that may be outright disallowed by the rules of court.

It's best if a disinterested party does so: that lends more believability to their assertion that they did what they said they did to effect delivery
