Thank you for this informative video. Ive just watched a few videos on Dalai Lama, especially What Tsem Rinpoche thinks of the Dalai Lama??!! Which I think gives more insight about His Holiness and Tibetan Buddhism. I do hope people will not argue about His Holiness political role and focus more on his religious role, which he has contributed a lot.

The title 'His Holiness' is, I believe, an indication of institutional rank applied to the Pope and borrowed from the Catholic Church. It was, rather unskillfully, adopted by English-speaking Buddhists to refer to the Dalai Lama, who would probably never refer to himself as 'holiness' in any language!
