aawww :( i had a rattie that was born with medication, it can be treated, but i heard its expencive. i have a video for him on here. are you a member of the RatFanClub? if you are i will give you the link to my Baby Old Yellers story and video, if not, the link wont work, but i do have a video up here without the story.
I feel your pain, as I recently lost a baby orphaned rat to megacolon as well. The little fella was still nursing on his mom when my sisters dogs killed the mother. I rescued the baby, had it eating, pooping, it was feisty, growing hair, etc, then one day just started bloating up. My wife and I researched it and the best we could determine was the little fella drew the short stick for genetics and had this dread disease. We loved him intensely for a week, and now he is gone. I miss him.
i'm so sorry for your loss. i recently took in a rescue litter and lost most of them to this terrible disease. at least he had your comfort when he passed and knew what love was. RIP
Very sad, I know how it feels. I had a beautiful rat called Willard, and he had mites, so we took him to the rets to get some drops to fix it, they veternerian gave us something for cats, Willard ended up having fits infront of us and died the next morning, he was special... And we loved him.
Thank you for your kind words. He was a sweetie. Having lost Willard you truly know too. I always hope I gave them some comfort while they were so sick and in pain.
i love how when you say he brought you great Joy he moves his head "i know" 0:29 :)

@00KetumiWolf00 some vets dont care, some charge $200+ for a shot thats 20 just so he wont have to deal with a rat because the owner cant afford it.
