I have lived in Tucson a long time and I remember when they got the SR-71 and it wasn't in a hanger yet.....there is something just so cool about all those planes. You should do a little vid on the Titan missile site just up the road.
They had waving stars and stripes projected on the three jets at the entrance. Looked really cool. Unfortunately, I went by there three times this weekend at night and they didn't have the lights on a single time. Hopefully it wasn't just for a special event or something.
Somehow we missed this place traveling around to air museums and shows.
From the Smithsonian Air and Space to Cole Palens Aerodrome in Rhinebeck, NY. In Canada I think their warplane Museum is in Hamilton. And within 5 minutes of here is the Mid Atlantic Air Museum(WW II show annually). My son was just out to CA to an air museum(can't recall the name)
If those shooting ranges were not enough to incite a visit, this is the kicker!
Wonder if that ex-gf in Tuscon would put us up...nah.
What happened to the Sikorsky helicopter that one used to have to walk underneath before entering the first building?
And how the heck did you "just happen" to get the parking space closest to the door? It almost makes me feel like a conspiracy buff...

Thanks for sharing. I will have to go to an air museum some day that looks like a lot of fun.

I drive past this at least six times a week. Really a privilege.
They added some really cool lighting to the jet sculpture at the entrance for night time display. I'll try to catch some video of it sometime for YT.
