  • @tinabina1213

I would like to thank you for your comment. Peace

  • Peace to you marlon! thanks for looking out for us all and posting this!! I makes one feel a special affinity for those that get it! the appreciation of great music....very few of the folks around me do

  • Please don't refer to this as "Smooth Jazz" I reject that notion entirely! this music is light years beyond that and I'm not sure I even what to say that it was a forerunner to that garbage they play on the radio...you notice that you don't hear any of this album on those stations....Smooth Jazz: Tired, old whitney Houston song redubbed, replayed, recorded wth a sax instead of her voice! that might make it smooth(like exlax) but not jazz in any sense of the word!

  • I really think this album and this song John proved that he has the ability to be within a very small minority amazing saxophonists. I would put him somewhere in the top four: Coltrane, Brecker, Shorter, Klemmer. at times I want to put him in 2nd position.

  • This song just very well may the best on the album! it's very unique in that it has a nice driving beat! that propels forward and the song is transient, not inert, or repetitive! the fender rhodes keys(Dave Grusin) are gorgeous and drums phenomenal(Steve Gadd) Prominent Bass. The entire album is very rich, totally complete! I'm not sure If John ever came close to generating another album of this caliber. It's just magical how it all came together when it did! This would be n my desert island.

  • @wardbundle

Thx for the comment. Man that was deep, but I do agree with the statements that you made. John's music puts me in another dimension everytime I hear him, especially the "Touch" CD. Personally I think that this CD is the best CD he ever made. Like your comment, it was truly heartfelt and DEEP. Peace. Marlon

  • @hsmarlon Thank for posting! it...we could compile a desert island list of albums or songs...I don't know if it could be 10, might have to be 20....but touch would be in the top 10 for sure....I'd like to hear your favorites...I love the sounds from differnet decades. and the 70's were rich with variations. I'm sure you've heard of Grover's song "a secret place" mind blowing! the depth you can pull out of that one!!!
