I think the next Fleetwood Mac album (had Peter Green not left) would've been the live Boston album. It would've preceded the Allman's Fillmore East album, and would've catipulted FM in the US years before Nicks/Buckingham. The new songs lined up for a potential new album would've been dual lead guitars. Songs such as; "Loving Kind", "Sandy Mary", "Only You", "World in Harmony", and some Jeremy songs as well.
this after the madge sessions. this is from the last sessions with peter green in late 1969. it would have been interesting what the next fleetwood mac album would have sounded like if peter green had stayed with the band.
Your post is about nine months old so if you haven't already, you can get Fleetwood Mac October Jam No.1 from a three CD set called "Men of the World. It's on the 2nd disc.
"Just a little straight-forward jam"....yeah. Right. There was just nothing like Green-era Mac at their best, and this is it. The raw power is extraordinary!!!
Never has a sound and music done so much for me in my soul and heart then listening to Peter Green. Thank you and can never re[au upi. Thank you for you heart.
@sam19851 They call them the the "October Sessions", because they were recorded a month after "Then Play On" was released in Britian.
"Sandy Mary", "Loving Kind", "World in Harmony", "The Green Manalishi", "Only You". These are FIVE songs that became useless when Peter Green left FM 5/70.

Ooh, the bass rocks - as staccato guitar work.
Dig how Peter and Danny "sang" to and with each other.
This staccato rhythm isn't so easy on guitar.
It works in the gut.

I could play this enroute back and forth from LA to Vancouver.
To madmen.

I've always wondered why Fleetwood Mac put the "Madge" jams on "Then Play On" - is this from those sessions?
snackleforkofemir 2 years ago
