It's a Brazillian popular piece, played by people who had never studied classical music at all. It was composed by João Pernambuco, in the 20th century beginnings. Assad brother's father plays this kind of music in Brazil, and the beginning of Assad brother's musical studies were with their father, hearing this kind of music. It is greatly played, as everyone that knows Brazilian choro realizes.
