  • he started slapping his bum

  • and they Inception had awesome effects

  • Is this the first film ever?!!

  • @AnnShchadrina Nah. "Entrée d'un train en gare de la Ciotat" is considered like the first one.

  • @AnnShchadrina no. the first film ever is The output of Lumière's factories (La sortie des usines Lumière is the original france title)

  • @sasha3542 no. the oldest known film is "Roundhay Garden Scene" (1888).

  • @AnnShchadrina No, but it is the first fiction film ever. All earlier films have no plot. Obviously, it's also the first comedy film ever.

  • un classique

  • 3 persoones se sont faites arroser. Ou rosser.

    ...

    Désolé, c'était trop tentant.

  • Ahh how we have evolved from the near dickensian nightmare this film

dipicts in that just by playing a small, prank the jovial boy has his arse hole

horrendessly gropped for a clear 5 seconds...

  • the book was better

  • Gad Dangit That's as old as Walter Breuning now!

  • that is pure genius

  • @Timcookie321 o......k

  • great i needed that for my media studies assignment! thankyou so much!!!

  • The unit of measure of Great comedy...it is Still Funny!!!

  • Decent storyline, average actors, but awful screen shooting and editing, though the author tries to develop an interesting point about ethics, morals and human condition. 3/6

  • catel - what do you expect? It was made over 100 years ago.

  • Can't wait for the remake!

  • @Jellyfish60 You won't believe it, but it has been remade. It's called 'The Biter Bit', and it was made in 1900. I can't find any videos on YT, but it's basically the same as this one except it has a tree in the foreground. Sad, I know. Just thought I'd let you know; even if it is a year later than your original comment haha =)

  • Thank you very much for your uploading.

I feel this ancient film have a story line and a performance.

  • It's not the first film ever, but is it the first fictional film.

  • Comment removed

  • This is recorded as the earliest known film of all time... The first movie ever made.

  • Actually, the Edison Kinetoscope had the earliest films. "The Strong Man" was the first motion picture.

  • I'ma let you finish, but this was Ayn Rand's favorite movie of all time! OF ALL TIME!!!

  • yes!!, this movie is from 1895 with lumièr's brothers. amazing.

  • Brilliant :)

  • this is art

  • When I show this to my social studies classes, they always laugh. And I love that, because here is a film that is nearly 115 years old, yet it brings about the same response as it did in 1895.

  • Incredible how this paved the way for all the slapstick humor today. If you love slapstick, this is a little bit of history for you.

  • lol amazing...,although I wonder how people would react if a gardener was spanking their kid these days

  • That is amazing, just like what some other commenters have said, it is hard to believe that that film came out in December, 1895! Sometimes all you can do is just sit there and gaw.

  • lol

  • Damn dude that's 113 years old!

  • this is not the first film ever made for an audience. That is "La sortie de l'usine" by the Lumiere brothers. This is still quite amazing..

  • but this is the first piece of fiction in movies... it just blows my mind when i think of 1895

  • Long way from that to stuff like Transformers. A long but great way!

  • history of cinema, the first film of ever

  • jejejejejeje thanks for sharing!!
