I passed this ladder on the way to the monolith. The first time I played the game through I took that ending with C-Conciousness. Second playthrough and going for the Wish granter

SOC u are strelok , u awake on the cordon , disable the brain scorcher , go to center of the zone TWICE.

Clear Sky : u are a merc , u got hit by emission coz of strelok went there in the first place , past the brain scorcher wich had been disabled by h im , in SOC u are enemys of Clear Sky and in clear sky u try to end strelok :p ur part of the mission in SOC to kill strelok . and in COP u get strelok out of there , I LOVE THE STALKER GAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!

@DEADPOOL275 NO its in the brain scorcher...goto it when you turn it off after the video clip (or before you turn it off) there is a door in the room where you turn off the scorcher its really not the hard to find...its lit up for God's sake

If anyone has played through the end of the game successfully but then wanted to keep on playing, try installed Stalker Complete 2009. It puts you back into the main part of the Zone once you finish it and you can continue playing it and taking random missions, etc. :-)

Ah damn. I thought this was the one inside the brain scorcher. There's a door there that has no code :( lol. First time I played through I couldn't finish because one of the guys you're meant to get info off had died lol and so I got a wish granter ending. Fortunately they fixed this bug and I passed it later on when I played through it again. It is a very re-playable game :)

That door isnt a hidden door, you could find that door even if you just walk around the area, I say, its not to be concidered to be as a hidden door

@NeroLior You climb up to the other floor then go along to the end of the room, and if you have already meet the doctor you must have a machine that opens the door that you find in the end of the corridor

I've been hearing that you needed to take part or refuse to take part in a C-Consciousness project or something to get through the door.

Interesting design choice from the developers not to give me the smallest hint for that.

What is also interesting is that the game never told me that the marked one is strelok, a huge plot twist and the game never bothered to tell me.

I mean, I know I'm supposed to explore, but you could tell me the really huge things.

that's not the ladder back to the wish granter, this ladder takes you to the upper corridor wich leads to the secret door. climb up the ladder and go to the right, then you'll find the secret door

well, not me :) strange, I was soo scared to go to the center of the zone that I walked to talk with guide first who sended me to strelok's hideout, and finaly when I got the couarage to go to the center I got the decoder and got the true end :P

A little hint to people who couldn't get to the hidden door:

Most people don't complete the mission they receive coming out of X18, "Meet the Guide." Complete that in Cordon and complete the rest of the Strelok missions to gain access.

yeah it actually is pretty easy to find from the monolith. I didn't go that close to it, more towards the doorway from the hall. The endings through the Kill Strelok path are awesome.
